I really don't know what you mean with "main Hispanic characters" seeing that Roxann Biggs-Dawson is Hispanic! Her name's also Roxann Cabalero and she just played the Chief Engineer on Voyager...
Robert Beltran is a second-generation Mexican-American ...and he was just the First Officer! *shrugs*
How about checking your facts before posting? |
I meant the charecter themselves, not the actors. Notice I said charecters not actors. Is Torres Hispanic in the show? NOPE. Simple half human and half Klingon. Her father isn't Hispanic and if he is, then he made NO mention of it. Robert Beltran's charecter focuses on the fact hes Native American. He may be a descendant of Mexican Indian, but that still doesn't focus on his Hispanic heritage now does it? I meant a pure Hispanic charecter. Jean Luc Picard was French and they made mention of him living in France with vineyard and all. Sisko was African American and had a few good episodes about African American opression. Both make clear references to their races. There has never been a MAIN Hispanic charecter in ST that made clear reference to what he/she was. Maybe next time you should check what I mean before posting?

^^ Sounds like we were both under-represented then. Maybe if they ever make another series of Star Trek (probably unlikely at this moment!) we can have some gay people and Hispanics...or maybe an Hispanic gay person to kill two birds with one stone
Anyway...
18. Seven's always handy to have around when you're in a hurry to get dressed - she knows the ins and outs of Janeway's uniform so well she can put her pips on for her in a jiffy (Someone To Watch Over Me)

Innuendo is a nice word, huh? But how about we take it to another level, or just drop it? Let's give the users a bit more credit, shall we?

Sorry if we caused any offence there, but as you could see we had actually dropped it anyway. All of those posts were in a few minutes of each other, so I don't think either of us was planning on coming back and continuing on the same theme.
Anyway, back on-topic
19. Seven likes to try and please Janeway by doing everything she suggests (dating in Someone To Watch Over Me, researching her family in 11:59)
20. Seven will try and please Janeway by doing things she doesn't necessarily suggest, but Seven thinks they are important to her anyway (spending hours decrypting just 5 words from the starfleet data stream because it was important to the captain in Hunters)
21. In fact Janeway's opinion of her is important to Seven in general (she tells Tuvok as much in Hunters)

^Yeah, only said something because I was asked to. Still don't get why people who don't like this topic continue to read it...

2. Your fantasy is no more or less right than anyone elses!
3. Just because some people dont agree with you, doesnt mean that you have the right to spew
4. There is no right or wrong here!

Haha... Kate Mulgrew's also "crazy". She likes to say "in the gravy" a lot. And there can be more types of chemistry than just romantic chemistry. That doesn't mean anything.

What you all need to understand, it was no chemistry at all. It is more like a mother and daughter relationship more than anything. Voyagers writers didn't make it out to be a love thing for them like the writers messed up and didn't put Janeway and Chakotay together so get over it. Move on already ....

perhaps you need to read Sazzy's posts again!
but at least you admitted you dont have any facts
I believe she is up to 22 facts at the moment!

I believe that indicates that in fact you have no facts!
