The joining of eastern European nations and Turkey will bring huge expenses to the EUU (European Union) for development. Especially for agriculture, it will also create more problems in the EU itself, with labor salaries etc.

The EUU only has plans for a small quick defence force, nothing special.

The EUU never agrees on ANYTHING, so it takes forever for a decision to be made. Heck, it even doesn't speak the same language....


You're right about the euro though, it is already a more stable currency than the dollar and is even worth more.

^I agree that the EU matter is complicated but I believe that Eastern Europeans (especially their governments) crave the unity and centralism that they had under the Warsaw Pact (though not the despotism). They see the EU as more of a political entity whereas Western Europeans see it more as an economic federation. The support of Eastern Europe may aid the EU in its unity initiative.

The EU's military operations are small, they claim it'll probably stay that way, but I think that taking over little policing missions from NATO is only the beginning.
