Your comparison is flawed.

Mmmm, you tell me how, and I'll read it tomorrow. I have to go to bed now, early morning.

So did I... What I'm saying is that something that you or I do is different than something the government of a country does. This is demonstrated constantly. I'm not gonna give examples unless you ask, though.

I did ask. And the only major difference is the amount of people affected.

Well, let's say you owned nuclear weapons.... They'll take 'em. But the U.S. government has thousands.

You just so aren't getting it. I'm not going to spend my time repeating myself over and over to someone who chooses not to listen.

A Digest of French Quotes
"France has neither winter nor summer nor morals. Apart from these drawbacks it is a fine country. France has usually been governed by prostitutes."
---Mark Twain
"I would rather have a German division in front of me than a French one behind me."
--- General George S. Patton
"We can stand here like the French, or we can do something about it."
---- Marge Simpson
"As far as I'm concerned, war always means failure"
---Jacques Chirac, President of France
"As far as France is concerned, you're right."
---Rush Limbaugh,
"The only time France wants us to go to war is when the German Army is sitting in Paris sipping coffee."
--- Regis Philbin
"The French are a smallish, monkey-looking bunch and not dressed any better, on average, than the citizens of Baltimore. True, you can sit outside in Paris and drink little cups of coffee, but why this is more
stylish than sitting inside and drinking large glasses of whiskey I
don't know."
--- P.J O'Rourke (1989)
"You know, the French remind me a little bit of an aging actress of the 1940s who was still trying to dine out on her looks but doesn't have the face for it."
---John McCain, U.S. Senator from Arizona
"You know why the French don't want to bomb Saddam Hussein? Because he hates America, he loves mistresses and wears a beret. He is French, people."
--Conan O'Brien
"I don't know why people are surprised that France won't help us get Saddam
out of Iraq. After all, France wouldn't help us get the Germans out of France!"
---Jay Leno
"The last time the French asked for 'more proof' it came marching into Paris under a German flag."
---David Letterman
Next time there's a war in Europe, the loser has to keep France.
----Unknown
I myself am of French descent, so no one can say I'm being racist here. It's totally political,

As Heard On Tuesday, March, 4, 2003:
Letter to the President!
Bob and Sheri listeners
Dear President Bush,
Instead of sending our sweet, young soldiers over to
face the terrorist hoards, here's a better idea!!
Take all American women who are within five years of
menopause - train us for a few weeks, outfit us with
automatic weapons, grenades, gas masks, moisturizer
with SPF45, Prozac, hormones, chocolate & canned tuna
- drop us (parachuted, preferably) across the
landscape of Afghanistan &let us do what
comes naturally!
Think about it. Our anger quotient alone, even when
doing standard stuff like grocery shopping & paying
bills, is formidable enough to make even armed men in
turbans tremble!
We've had our children; we would gladly suffer or die
to protect them & their future!!!
We'd like to get away from our husbands, if they
haven't left already. And for those of us who are
single, the prospect of finding a good man with whom
to share life is about as likely as being struck by
lightning.
We have nothing to lose.
We've survived the water diet, the protein diet, the carbohydrate diet & the grapefruit diet in gyms & saunas across America & never lost a pound. We can easily survive months in the hostile terrain of Afghanistan with no food at all!
We've spent years tracking down our husbands or lovers
in bars, hardware stores, or sporting events, so
finding Hussein or bin Laden in some cave will be no
problem.
Uniting all the warring tribes of Afghanistan in a new government? - Oh, please ... we've planned the seating arrangements for in-laws & extended families at Thanksgiving dinners for years. Trust me, we understand tribal warfare.
Between us, we've divorced enough husbands to know
every trick there is for how they hide, launder, or
cover up bank accounts & money sources. We know how to
find that money & we know how to seize it...
with or without the government's help!
We've raised enough teenagers that we can easily tell
the truth from lies, or sincerity from b.s. and are
experts and finding contraband no matter how well
hidden it may be.
Let us go and fight. -- The Taliban hates women.
Imagine their terror as we crawl like ants with hot
flashes over their godforsaken terrain! and/or Iraq?
Sincerely, The Mature Women of the United States.

"AMERICA WILL NOT TURN BACK"
--Woodrow Wilson.
Poem by Ella Wheeler Wilcox
America will not turn back;
She did not idly start,
But weighed full carefully and well
Her grave, important part.
She chose the part of Freedom's friend,
And will pursue it, to the end.
Great Liberty, who guards her gates,
Will shine upon her course,
And light the long, adventurous path
With radiance from God's Source.
And though blood dye that ocean track,
America will not turn back.
She will not turn until that hour
When thunders through the world
The crash of tyrant monarchies
By Freedom's hand down-hurled.
While Labour's voice from sea to sea
Sings loud, "My country, 'tis of thee."
Then will our fair Columbia turn,
While all wars' clamours cease,
And with our banner lifted high
Proclaim, "Let there be Peace,"
But till that glorious day shall dawn
She will march on, she will march on.

"How To Handle The Protesters"
With the current war raging in Iraq, many of us will encounter "Peace Activists" who will try and convince us that we must refrain from riding the world of Saddam and the people that he supports... Many of them terrorists. Do you remember September 11, 2001?
These activists may be alone or in a gathering... Most of us don't know how to react to them. When you come upon one of these people, or one of their rallies, here are the proper rules of etiquette:
1. Listen politely while this person explains their views. Strike up a conversation if necessary and look very interested in their ideas. They will tell you how revenge is immoral, and that by attacking the evil regimes and the people who did this to us, we will only bring on more violence. They will probably use many arguments, ranging from political to religious to humanitarian.
2. In the middle of their remarks, without any warning, punch them in the nose.
3. When the person gets up off of the ground, they will be very angry and they may try to hit you, so be careful.
4. Very quickly and calmly remind the person that violence only brings about more violence and remind them of their stand on this matter. Tell them if they are really committed to a non-violent approach, they will turn the other cheek and negotiate a solution. Tell them they must lead by example if they really believe what they are saying.
5. Most of them will think for a moment and then agree that you are correct.
6. As soon as they do that, hit them again. Only this time hit them much harder. Square in the nose.
7. Repeat steps 2-5 until the desired results are obtained and the person realizes how stupid of an argument he/she is making.
There is no difference in an individual attacking an unsuspecting victim or a group of terrorists attacking a nation of people. It is unacceptable and must be dealt with. Perhaps at a high cost.
We owe our military a huge debt for what they are about to do for us and our children. We must support them and our leaders at times like these. We have no choice. We either strike back, VERY HARD, or we will keep getting hit in the nose.
If you can't be a good example, at least be a horrible warning
