U.S.S Voyager- What should have happened

Ok,here's the next chapter. I know it's been awhile and I might even do 2 or 3.

Chapter 122

A few minutes after Jessica's in sickbay Kathryn gets back on board. Chakotay is told of her arrival and calls her to the readyroom. She tells Harry to have Kimberely guarded in her room until furthur notice and goes to meet Chakotay. Only it wasn't just Chakotay she met.

Kathryn: Admiral Paris. Admiral Hastings. To what do I owe this pleasure?

Admiral Hastings:Chakotay told us you had some explaining to do. Something about why you left a seven year old, who is in charge of all the childern,pilot a shuttlecraft by herself. A shuttlecraft that got damaged and has this child in a coma.

Admiral Paris: This should be an interesting explanation.

Kathryn: I know it doesn't sound good when you put it that way,but there is a good explanation. Jessica was going to get Kimberely to watch her when someone hit her over the head with a steel pipe. After about a half hour we proved our suspicion to be right. That Kimberely hit Jessica. Then we found out that Kimberely wasn't on board,she took a shuttle off the ship. Jessica and I went after her and then we both decided it be best for me to go onto Kimberely's shuttle. Everything would have been fine if Kimberely hadn't fired at the shuttle Jessica was on.

Chakotay: That is an interesting explanation,but why would you listen to a seven year old?

Kathryn: Because she made sense. Kimberely wasn't listening to us while we were on another shuttle. Both Jessica and I knew if Jessica went on board Kimberely's shuttle, it would do nothing. Kimberely barely listens to me, nevermind someone more than half her age.

Admiral Hastings: Ok,your off the hook,for now. Where's Kimberely?

Kathryn: In her room,heavily guarded. I told Jessica she could decide the punishment after I approve it.

Admiral Paris: That'll be kind of hard when she's in a coma.

Admiral Hastings: If Jessica gets out of this before the week's out,she may decide the punishment for the steel pipe incident. I want your report on everything else by 0900 tomorrow.

Kathryn: Yes sir.

Admiral Hastings: Oh,and Chakotay is to approve it.

Kathryn: With all due respect,why does he have to approve it? I'm the Captain on this ship, I shouldn't need approval on deciding punishments.

Admiral Hastings: You need approval because of the actions just performed that caused a seven year old to go into a coma. I know I said your off the hook,but I decided that your on probation until furthur notice. Everything you do is to be approved until your told otherwise by myself or Admiral Paris. Is this understood?

Kathryn: Yes sir.

Next soon,maybe later this morning or this afternoon

Chapter 123

It's been a week and Jessica's still in her coma. Kathryn decided a week brig for insubordination and another two weeks for endangering a crew member and stealing a shuttlecraft for Kimberely's punishment,that was approved by Chakotay of course. Jessica had til days end to get out of this coma if she was going to decide anything furthur on Kimberely's punishment. It's now 2200 and Kathryn and Chakotay are in sickbay. A few minutes later,Jessica woke up.

Jessica- Mommy? Mommy,where are you?

Kathryn- I'm right here. Your safe now.

Jessica- Good. Where's Kimberely?

Kathryn- In the brig for another two weeks. You've been in a coma for a week and I'm on probation until furthur notice.

Jessica- So,everything you do has to be approved. Well, can you add another week to Kimberely's brig time for hitting me with the steel pipe?

Kathryn- That's fine with me,but your father, I mean the Admiral has to approve also.

Chakotay- Fine with me also. I approve.

Kathryn- Would you like to announce this to Kimberely yourself? Well,that is if the doctor will release you for it.

Doctor- Go ahead,but right back here. I need to monitor you through the night at least.

Jessica- Of course. I promise to come back right away.

They then left for the brig to let Kimberely know.

Jessica- Cadet Kimberely Jean Matthews,you are hereby sentenced to an additional week of solitary confinement for striking a superior officer with a steel pipe. After this time you are to report to Captain Janeway, Admiral Chakotay and myself to see if there's anything additional. Is this understood, cadet?

Kimberely- This isn't fair. I've been here a week already. That should be enough. I still have another two weeks and now, a measly seven year old is sentencing me to an additional week? I will not report to a seven year old either. I will not take orders from a seven year old. If I'm not released in two weeks,like the Captain said, someone will regret it.

Jessica- I don't care how you feel towards me. Point is I outrank you and therefore your superior officer. You have to listen to me whether you like it or not. See you in three weeks,cadet.

With that,they left the brig and headed back to sickbay where Jessica would stay for another day.
