Torpedoes of all kinds are usually saved for warp
battles where standard phasers cannot be used.

At sub-light impulse speeds, you can use either
the phasers or torpedoes.

So you're saying the Borg should go to warp before we unload on them?

Torpedoes didn't have much affect against the Borg in "Q Who?".

regular torpedoes don't, but transphasic torpedoes destroy a borg cube in seconds

That's assuming that Starfleet keeps the transphasic torpedo technology. Remember, it is from the future, and while Janeway was willing to use it to get home, Starfleet is just as likely to have them all destroyed so the timeline isn't contaminated.

You know that episode of TNG when Data gets angry with that borg, becaesu Lore had an emotion chip which he used to tempt Data.
The Enterprise D used the Deflector dish to send a Tachion beam to open up a Borg Transwarp corridor. Right everyone remember that one? Well how come the Enterprise wasnt ripped appart, and if this was a safe method of transport from the Alpha Quadrent to the Delta Quaderent how come Janeway didnt find a reference to it and use it to high tail it home?

If you remember Enterprise and Voyager were happening at approximatly the same time even if the episodes were different years. So if this is the case then Enterprise would have done it at the same time voyager was in the Delta quadrant or just before they left so that it wasn't in the records.
