I believe it's the fall of Rome too. John of Patmos describes the mark of the Beast as "666." Scholars studied the numerology of this period translated 666 as "Neron," but also believe that the number has been mistranslated through the years from "616" or "Nero," the Roman Emperor of John of Patmos' day. Adn if you know your Roman Emperor history, Nero was one of the worst.
