Hmmm...., now that's a double standard. Thanks for clarifying that.

I am going to use this topic now to speak a little of my mind.
For some reason everyone here uses his voice to shout out loud that they are against war. Well DUH!!!!! isn't everyone? Wake up people, this isn't about wether you are for war or not. This is about the free world as we know it. The attack at the WTC has shown that instead of nations, we have to worry about terrorism, and of course the Nations that support it.
Now here we are, Germany and France having the biggest mouth. Oh boy are they against war!!! Haven't those two countries been involved in two worldwars themselves? Europe has turned into a bunch of hypocrytes. Left winged idiots, who have no clue what it is to defend ones values. Don't know the meaning of humilliation, laugh when someone spits in their face but oh boy, those filthy eskimo's that hunt whales, they are bad.
Most Europeans have become so damn closed minded. They see things from their own point of view, which is 9 out of 10 times the view that our dear left orientated press has. For some weird reason the USA has become in their eyes some power tripping country that only seeks to destroy poor little muslims.
That Sadam has been giving the brown eye to the whole western world (and eastern for that matter) is not important. We laugh at it, he's such a cute little man. And oh boy, his people are going to suffer from this war so bad. The press releases about his son torturing are simply forgotten, they aren't important.
Yes here is europe for you. A continent that I am part of, a continent I hate for that. But who do I dislike most? It must be the press for taking advantage of our mentally unstable europeans. The EC has turned into an organ that listens to the press and can't make up its own mind. And oh boy, do we want to be a super power.
I saw an interesting interview on CNN yesterday. It was with two english businessmen. They were asked what they thought of the United Nations. Their answer was; The UN are a bunch of freaks that can't take decisions they are full of nonsense, and if the UN would fall because of this , the world would be a better place
Yay, I have some of my faith restored into the English.

Yeah, I'm English and I've noticed a lot of differences between us and the rest of Europe. It is as if the 30 miles stretch of water is a greater distance than that of the Alantic, with the USA being closer. (Probably made no sense, but never mind )

What else would you like to happen? Does he need to "test" more of his chemical weapons on people? Does he need to shoot more people for disagreeing with him? Or perhaps he needs to invade another country.
Hey, look at that rabid dog. Oh, but don't hurt him, lets wait until he bites someone first.

Nice coordination on the part of the pilots... But seriously, (Sorry for starting this again here, but I feel obligated to respond) let's look at this another way Maquis. It's all about preemptive retaliation. Should the U.S. be disarmed because of our possible future actions? Should the government be allowed to arrest you because you might do something terroristic in the future? I agree that Saddam is an evil man, but I also don't think that gives us the right to police his country.

You miss the point. What gives us the right to "police his country" is the fact that he lost a war to us 12 years ago. That was one of the terms. Fairly simple.

Wonderful. It's an issue completely of opinion. Really our argument, though fun, can't really go anywhere. It's all a matter of where your values and morals lie.

You shoot someone. You are ordered to get rid of all of you weapons. You get rid of a few, then stop allowing the police to check your house. You start amassing weapons again. You still refuse to let the police in. You hide many of said weapons, only keep out knives and such, and let the police in. They don't find the weapons, but do find evidence you've hidden them, and receipts for said weapons, and the owner of a gunshop willing to testify he sold you the weapons. You continue to deny, and the police keep letting you get away with it. A new sherriff comes in, and says "no more". You will be held accountable, or you will pay. You continue to balk. Action is threatened. You threaten back. The new sherriff isn't going to allow it, and neither are his allies.
Tell me where the morality issues are concerning that? That is as basic and as simple as I could possibly make it.
