Romulan Science Ship Adal

Sparks flew out of a display on the wall. LTarin shouted.
Report!! Unfortunately his ship wasnt a tactical fighter or a Warship. Ops and weapons were on the same console.
Aft shields at 73%. LTarin jumped down to the helm officer and pointed to a display.
Thats the stations flagship isnt it? The officer looked at his readings.
The Guardian, yes sir. LTarin had a feeling hed regret what he was about to do but did it anyway.
Match their pattern. See if we can give them some covering fire.
"Aye sir." The officer struggled to match the pattern and got as close to a copy as he could.

Jones looked over at the major, not wanting to have to deal with this.

"Major Katran," He said, "A civilian ship is asking to join the battle."

Meanwhile, the station continued to slowly move towards the battle making little headway...

Katran looked back at the man, shaking his head. "If she wants to, I guess I'll permit it. We need all the help we can get." He gave the man a nod, and then gave another order, in preparation for what was soon to come. "All decks...battle stations."

Jones nodded to Katran and re-opened a channel to the Lady Luck.

"I'm opening the space dock," He said, "You're free to go. Good luck."

A warning rang out and sensors detected a dozen ships heading in their direction. Jones chuckled at the sight. Fighters, moving towards the station? They'd be obliterated. His ran a sensor sweep to ascertain what they were doing. The fighters had distinct markings and definitly distinct pilots...

"Major," He said, "A fighter squadron is heading towards the station. The pilots...they're Nautolian."

Usually Koinian pilots were used, as they made better canon fodded. Nautolians were elite pilots and used their empathic and telepathic abilities to help them fly. They still wouldn't hurt the station, but Jones had an idea why they were coming.

"Major," He said to Katran, "I think they're going to try and knock out our thrusters. That'll leave us dead in space and unable to assist..."

-USS Guardian, Bridge-

Ian heard the call from T'Sa over the comm. line.

"Acknolwedged." He replied.

He motioned for helm to dodge the fighters and continue their attack.

-Guardian Squadran 10, Cockpit-

T'Sa targeted an enemy fighter and fired upon it with her weapons as she flew past the Guardian's Bridge, as she flew into formation leading the fighters to set up for the flanking run. She hailed the Guardian and spoke to the other fighters.

"Target your weapons to the following cordnates. Fire in a barrage sequence."

This would mean that some would fire then move off, to let the others fire, with the actions repeted, so that the enemy ship would be under a cosntant barrage of federation weapons.

-DSG, Hangar Deck-

The person in charge of the fighter maintince hailed Ops.

"Ops!, Half the Elerra Squadran can launch!"

Lady Luck, Bridge

Caroline sighed a sigh of relief, happy that the her request had been approved. She nodded at the cyborg, in thanks.

"Thank you, Lieutenant." Caroline thanked the cyborg, before nodding to her communications officer, Harrad-Sar, indicating that she wanted the com-line cut. The Orion male nodded, in compliance, before he cut the channel. After the task was complete, the Orion looked over to his captain.

"Done." the Orion said, simply, after the com-line was cut. Caroline nodded, curtly, in the Orion's direction.

"Good." Caroline said, before looking to her Ferengi helmsman, Kazago, who was currently standing at his station, before her. "Kazago. Take us out of here." Caroline ordered the little Ferengi man, who nodded and went to work at taking the D'Kora-class vessel out of spacedock. Meanwhile, Caroline spun about, to face her Klingon tactical officer, Shi'Vang. "Power up weapons." Caroline ordered the Klingon warrior, who grunted in agreement. At last, Caroline spun about, to face the viewscreen, with a hardened look on her normally expressionless face, ready to join the fight.

--DSG, Ops--
"Thank you, Lieutenant," he replied, and tredded over immediately to a communication console himself. He then sent a signal to the Guardian, stating, "Captain, it appears as though the Nautolian fighters are being diverted towards the station. It looks like they've found out about our operation. We require immediate assistance in dealing with these fighters."
He then received a signal from the Hangar Bay. "Alright," he replied. "Launch immediately. There's a squadron of 25+ Nautolian fighters heading this way. Take 'em out the best you can."

--Thunder, Bridge--
"Report," Captain Gole stated, standing tall.
"The fighters are en-route to the station," his first officer reported, looking up from a console. "It looks like you were right. They're trying to lure us to the station."
"Excellent," the dark captain said. "And we won't fall for their bait." He paused, then continued. "Order the ships to continue their assignment," he said. "I want those thrusters inoperative, and then I want Epsilon Wing to join the fighters in swarming the station and disabling the weapons. Red Squadron is to join them, but concentrate their fire power on the starfighters. Let's see if we can't lure them to the station."
The Dark Knight smiled darkly. Things seemed to be going quite well for them now...

Lady Luck, Bridge

With the Lady Luck out of spacedock and in motion, the D'Kora-class Ferengi vessel rocketed out into the battle, towards the incoming Nautolian fighters.

Caroline, who was intent on protecting the station, seeing as she owned property on Deep Space Guardian, spun about to face Shi'Vang, her tactical officer.

"Fire on those fighters." Caroline ordered the Klingon, through gritted teeth, pointing to the viewscreen, at the incoming Nautolian fighters. "We have to protect the station. My shop is there."

"Yessir." The Klingon man grunted and nodded, as he pushed a green button on his console. Shi'Vang smiled a toothy grin, as he watched the disruptor blast that he had just triggered, rocketed towards a cluster of the fighters. Two of the Nautolian fighters exploded instantly, seeing as the Lady Luck had taken them by suprise. A third fighter, severly damaged, broke off its course towards the station, turning to face the Lady Luck.

"Destroy that fighter!" Caroline snapped at Shi'Vang, worry in her voice, as the damaged Nautolian fighter neared the Lady Luck, firing upon the Ferengi vessel, causing the Bridge along with the rest of the ship to shake. However, the Klingon tactical officer, managed to shoot down the starfighter, in the nick of time, before any serious damage was done to the Lady Luck.

"Yes!" The Klingon howled as the ship exploded, his warrior nature taking over. Caroline, who was smiling, as well, let out a sigh of relief.

"Shields?" the El-Aurian woman asked, wanting to verify the ship's condition after the Nautolian atack. The Klingon, who had stopped howling, glanced down at his console, pressing a few buttons with is large fingers, before looking back to his Captain.

"Holding at 91%" the Klingon replied. Caroline nodded, relieved to hear that her ship could take a beating. To be honest, she wasn't all too sure about taking the Lady Luck into battle in the first place. However, her fears had been reassured.

"Good." Caroline muttered, in relief. She noticed a few more starfighters heading for her ship, after noticing her vessel. "Recharge weapons and fire at those incoming fighters." Caroline ordered, her face returning to its hardened state.

-DSG, OPS-

The fighters had begun their run against the station, laying out a barrage of attacks. The station didn't shake from the hits due to the size of the incoming fire, but the shields were certainly feeling it.

"Shields are holding sir," He said, "But I fear they're going to fly within our shield range. It'll only be the ablative hull armor to shield us."

-USS Guardian, Bridge-

Ian cringed as a shower of sparks rained down on him from the ceiling.

"Return fire," He said, "Let the fighters deal with the Nautolian fighters."

T'Sa took a second of her free time to check her wound. The blood had still not started slowing, the shrapnel obviusly hit an important Vien or something. T'Sa sighed and turned her attention back to the battle. There was a fighter heading directly Towards the Guardian. T'Sa grunted as she pushed her fighter to top speed to beat the Fighter and reach it to destroy it, firing on it and destroying it before it could damage the ship. She sighed again and spoke to the Guardian and the other nearby fighters that were flanking the ship.

"Begin the attack manuvers. Ian, have the Gurdian fire Phaser's 1 and 2 in the first wave, along with torpedos one and two, then fire 3 and 4 in the second."

DSG, Space

The hanger doors opened and the fighters that could launch flew out and headed for the Nauolian fighters. One one of them the team leader spoke.

"Everyone lock on to a target, fire when in range."

--Thunder, Bridge--
Captain Gole watched as the Starfleet fighters were pulling back to the station to engage the Nautolian fighters, just as he wanted. Epsilon Wing and Red Squadron were on their way, and the operational Koinian wing in his ship, Imperial Thunder, was just about to launch. Soon the station and Federation fighters would be overwhelmed with the Imperial fighters and they would be no match for them.
"Continue firing all batteries at the lead ship," he ordered, loudly. He then looked down to the Statistics Officer. "Report."
"Shields down to 67%, Captain," the Lieutenant reported. "Deflector shields holding. Armor is undamaged. They can't disable our deflector shields until they take down the regular shields, as you know, and we've still got a good deal of those left, my Lord."
"And what of the Muuktos and Canundrum?" he inquired.
"The Federation ships are firing primarily at our ship, Captain," the officer replied. "But the Canundrum's shields are holding at a mere 23%, with the Muuktos's shields above that at 46%. They're concentrating fire on a specific ship in concert. My readings are showing that ship as the Achilles, and they're throwing everything they've got at 'em."
"I'm assuming their deflector shields are strong, then?"
"Yes, my Lord. Because of their shield status the deflector shield generators are not affected by the blast. But by now the Federation realizes that situation, and they will target the generators when they can."
The Captain nodded and turned, walking back down to the end of the bridge, near the windows, watching the battle continue to unfold.

--DSG, OPS--
"Shields are holding sir," Jones reported. "But I fear they're going to fly within our shield range. It'll only be the ablative hull armor to shield us."
Katran nodded his head and opened a channel with the Guardian.
"Captain," he said. "It looks like that unless the fighters do more work we'll have some more trouble on our hands. They could very well get within our shield range and we'll then only have armor to shield us. Unfortunately we don't have those deflector shields like the Nautolian ships."
The unfortunate fact was that in that regard the Nautolians had the advantage--two layers of shielding, plus armor.

--Thunder, Space--
Imperial Thunder, the large Koinian squadron of exactly 50 fighters, left the Thunder and charged directly for the station. Their targets would be the thrusters, and the thrusters only. And with 50 crafts targeting the thrusters directly, it looked as though DSG was dead in the water...

Lady Luck, Bridge

Five minutes later, the Lady Luck had only managed to destroy one more of the Nautolian starfighters. Those rumors were true. Nautolian pilots were some of the best of the best and those Nautolian starfighters were fast, zipping to and fro.

Suddenly, the Bridge shook, again, causing a shower of sparks to fall from the ceiling. Caroline had almost fell out of her seat. Her Ferengi helmsman, did however. The little Ferengi man managed to scramble back up into his chair, just as a nearby console exploded, throwing one of Caroline's many Ferengi crewmen across the Bridge.

As Caroline tried to regain her composure, the Klingon tactical officer, Shi'Vang, began to fire at another cluster of Nautolian fighters, managing to hit one of the fighters on the port side. The Nautolian fighter spun out of control, before it crashed into a second Nautolian fighter, both of them exploding in a shower of sparks.

The Klingon warrior roared out, as the two fighters exploded, however, his moment of glory was short-lived. Another group of fighters, at least five Nautolian starfighters, appeared behind the Lady Luck and began firing upon the Ferengi vessel.

As the Bridge shook, again, Caroline spun about, her hair a mess and sweat pouring down the sides of her pale face, to face the Klingon tactical officer, Shi'Vang.

"Shield status?" Caroline asked Shi'Vang, frantically, having to shout as another nearby console exploded. The Klingon looked down at his console, checking the shield status as ordered, before replying to the El-Aurian woman's question.

"Shield's are at 68%." Shi'Vang reported, as another shower of sparks came down from above. Suddenly, an alarm buzzed on his console. "Hull breach on Deck 2!" the Klingon added, after noticing the notice.

"Have Sarina get an engineering team down to Deck 2, ASAP!" Caroline shouted, as the Nautolians turned about, to begin another attack run. "And, Shi'Vang?" Caroline began, as she wiped her brow, pushing her hair away from her eye. "Destroy those damned fighters!" Caroline barked, in frustration, as the Nautolian starfighters began a second attack run on the Lady Luck.

Romulan Science ship Adal

Ops reported without being asked just as another barrage of fire grazed their shields.
Shields at 41%. Whatever theyre hitting us with is disrupting out shields. LTarin remembered reading about something like that in TRells last log before he left the Mistal. LTarin hated the Federation but he hated even more the fact that the Nautolians had developed something that could break Romulan shields.
LTarin had some tricks of his own but he wasnt about to reveal anything that might get him thrown into the Federation brig as well. Another barrage hit them.
Shields have failed. Another barrage hit, Hull breach, sensor module.
Do we still have power to the T-Coil? The helmsman nodded.
Execute a jump back to the Mistal. The helmsman looked surprised.
I dont know if I can plot that precise of a jump. LTarin understood how the officer felt.
You have to try. The helmsman got up and went to the console on the other side of the bridge.
LTarin took the helm and continued evasive maneuvers. The helmsman shouted across the bridge.
Ready. LTarin Turned around.
Jump.

A green aura surrounded the Adal and she vanished in a green flash.

~ Bridge, USS Magellan ~

Blake stood in the bridge of the ship he temporarily commanded. According to the sensors the station was moving towards the battle. Unfortunately the Nautolians noticed this, too and sent several waves of fighters to attack the thrusters. Blake would do what he could to help.

"Helm... Fly us right threw this new wave of fighters," Blake ordered.

"Sir? But there's 50 of them," the officer spat out nervously, "You want me to fly through them?"

"Yes. Fly through them," Blake ordered, "Tactical, prepare all phasers. I want them all fired in succession while we're passing through."

"Aye, sir."

There was a reason that the Flag-ship of the Federation, The Enterprise-E, was a Sovereign class. The Magellan, like the Enterprise-E, had 14 phaser banks that weilded type XII phasers. The most powerful phaser that could be mounted on a ship to date.

The Magellan quickly changed course and to the surprise of the Nautolian fighter pilots, passed right through them...

"Fire!"

14 flashes of orange light were seen. It was like shooting fish in a barrel considering the density of the Nautolian fighter squandren... The Sovereign class ship emerged from it, but not without taking some blows...

"Shields at 43% sir!" ops reported.

--Thunder, Bridge--
"Captain!" the Flight Command Officer shouted. "The Sovereign-class starship, apparently the Magellan, according to records, has just blasted through Imperial Thunder. Only 36 fighters are left."
"What!?" the captain shouted. "That many members of the squadran--gone?" The officer nodded. The Captain growled. "Send out Beta Wing," he said, reluctantly. The 30-fighter unit was not supposed to be released unless it was an absolute emergency, but he felt he needed it.
The second wing was launched, leaving only 15 more Koinian fighters and 8 more Nautolian fighters left for reserves.
"Commander, order the Canundrum to release all its fighters. I want everything they can offer out there, and I want no divergances from the thrusters."
"Yes, sir." The order was sent, and a squadron of 30-some-odd more fighters left the ship, leaving only four Nautolian fighters behind for emergencies.

~ Bridge, USS Magellan ~

The crew cheered as the plan was successful and the squadren was significantly depleted. However their celebration was short lived.

"Sir! The warship is sending yet another fleet of fighters out right now!" the ops officer exclaimed.

Blake immediately turned to the tactical officer.

"Lock on all torpedos and fire at that ship NOW!" Blake yelled.

The tactical officer scrambled to work, got a lock and unleashed a barrage of quantum (from the rapid fire, releasing 3) and several photon torpedos, which rammed into the Nautolian ship. For the Nautolian ship to release fighters, shields needed to be down...

-USS Guardian, Bridge-

Ian watched as his ship veered past fighter after fighter, firing at the Thunder.

"Phaser banks are off-line." An officer reported.

The captain looked over his shoulder towards the officer.

"Do we still have pulse cannons and torpedos?" He asked.

The officer checked his console and nodded.

"Aye." He said.

Ian nodded and looked back at the viewscreen.

"Then by all means..." He said.

The ship fired it's pulse phasers at the Thunder, ramming it against their hull. The Guardian was heavily damaged by this point, not able to take much more. The USS Achilles, visibly damaged, swooped past them and fired another barrage of torpedos. A hail came in from the station and Katran reiterated their situation.

"The Magellan is on a pursuit course with the fighters." Ian told Katran.

The ship shook again from another hit. Damn fighters... Ian wondered what was going on with Guardian squadron.

Much to his surprise, he saw a Romulan ship and a Ferengi ship joining the fight and offering any assistance. He recognized the Ferengi ship, he had been on it as an Andorian. The Romulan ship fled, but Caroline's ship was still in the battle. By now the Nautolians had to have been running out of fighters. It was time to destroy the capitol ships...

"Open a channel to colony!" Ian ordered.

The officer nodded, "Channel open."

"This is captain Xavier," He yelled, "What is the status of the shields?"

A garbled message was the reply, "We need one twenty more minutes!"

Ian slammed his hand down on the arms of his chair, "You don't have it! Hurry!!!"

--Thunder, Bridge--
The large warship rocked with the blasts to its hull, banging into it yet doing relatively little damage due to the deflector shields.
"Shields!" the captain shouted.
"They're back online, Captain," the tactical officer replied.
"Report."
"Shields steady at 47%. Hull integrity is weakened. Damage on decks eleven and twelve. We have a hull breach on decks thirteen and fourteen, but it has been contained. Those sections are obliterated, however. Deflector shields are actually depleted 30% due to the torpedo attacks. We're damaged quite a bit, but we should be able to deal with it." The officer completed his report.
"Those fools targeted the wrong part of the ship," he said, smiling. The craft should have targeted the deflector shield generators, not the hull. "Order the Muuktos and Canundrum to join us in firing at the Magellan. I want that ship destroyed!" His right arm was up, his hand gripped into a tight fist.

Lady Luck, Bridge

So far, for the crew of the D'Kora-class Ferengi marauder, the Lady Luck, the battle hadn't gone well. Shields were down to 49%, with hull breaches on Decks 2, 3, and 4. Doctor Singh reported over twelve casualties. Sarina, Caroline's Chief Engineer, was working as hard as she could to restore power to the disruptors, which had been taken out by a passing Nautolian starfighter. However, torpedoes were still operative.

Caroline sat in the Captain's Chair, looking terrible, her face covered in sweat and her hair a matted mess. She had a gash on her forehead, when a piece of metal came crashing down from above. Lucky for her, it had only knicked her, however, the metal had crushed another crewmember. The Bridge was scattered with bodies. Only her senior staff remained on the Bridge, aside from one lowly engineer, who was cowering in the corner, rather than doing his assigned tasks.

"Fire quantum torpedoes!" Caroline barked at Shi'Vang, ordering him to launch the last of her quantum torpedoes, quantum torpedoes of which she had purchased from a Ferengi weapons dealer by the name of Gaila, some months prior, for quite a bargain, at that.

The Klingon, who was equally as bruised as the Captain, nodded, his long black hair bouncing as he did so. The Klingon pushed a blinking orange button and two torpedoes launched from the torpedo bays, towards the Nautolian warship, Thunder's deflector shield generators.

Her Vulcan First Officer, Sakonna, had suggested that the Lady Luck begin firing on the warships, seeing as those warships were deploying those nasty fighters. Also, Sakonna had pointed out the flaw in the Nautolian warship's design--the exposed deflector shield generators, which would make a perfect target for a pair of quantum torpedoes, like the ones that Shi'Vang had just fired...

Caroline had followed her First Officer's suggestions to the tee, choosing not to question the Vulcan, having complete faith in her logical friend. Moments later, the quantum torpedoes collided with the Thunder's deflector shield generators...

USS Achilles, Bridge

Ziona gritted her teeth and held onto a railing, her knuckles white with force.

"Keep us stable!" She yelled. A panel nearby exploded and Ziona shielded her face, ignoring the burning sensation as hot metal bit into the exposed skin of her hands and neck. She glanced around the bridge, noticing a few officers down, blood pooling around one of the officer's heads. She grimaced.

The ship began to bank suddenly in a rather unfortunate turn. She glanced back at helm.

"Correct this... NOW!" She spat, rather rudely but the pressure was starting to mount. "Direct all power we can towards the shields!" She turned to look at Juliana who was stationed at tactical. "Do what damage you can." She spoke quickly to Juliana.

The ship gave another lurch, this time turning steeply down towards Elerra Prime but helm righted it just in time.

((All hail the Godly army, apparently. Quantums would have shredded that section.)).

~ Bridge, USS Magellan ~

Blake growled and furrowed his brow. How that barrage had not completely obliterated that ship was completely beyond him along with the laws of physics, and RPG rules.

Blake's attention was drawn away from the viewscreen to the ops officer who spoke out.

"Sir, the Achilles is still taking damage..."

Blake's head remained on a swivel as he turned to face the female officer that he had previously told to work wherever she was comfortable. Apparently the Magellan was now the Nautolian's primary target. Blake smiled. At least that meant they were noticing him now along with taking fire away from the Achilles.

"Ready phasers! Let's move towards the station now and see if they bite..." Blake ordered.

((Okay, okay, I edited. It is more damaged than it was before.))

--Muuktos, Canundrum, and Thunder, Space--
The three Nautolian starships, against Captain Tolan Su's wish, ended up taking the bait. In Captain Gole's lust to eliminate the Magellan, they caught themselves in a trap, and were now in range of the station, though the Thunder was still slightly out of range...

--DSG, Ops--
"Report, Mr. Jones," Major Katran ordered, rocking with blasts from the fighters.

-DSG, OPS-

Jones checkes his instruments and smiled, "Major, the Nautolian ships are within range of our weapons..."

He checked the status of the allies and frowned immediatly at the readings.

"Major," He reported, "The USS Guardian and Achilles are heavily damaged. They're taking a beating and CAN NOT hold out much longer."

-USS Guardian, Bridge-

The bridge was in complete shambles, covered in debris and dead officers. Ian was sitting at the helm, taking the place of the dead officer. Three officers, excluding Ian, were all that remained. His hands were a blur as they crossed across the console, narrowly avoiding the fighters. they had run out of quantum torpedoes and were using photons, having nothing else left. Pulse canons were destroyed. It was getting to the point that the only weapon they would have left is ramming speed. Ian would do it to protect the colony...

-Guardian Squadran 10, Cockpit-

T'Sa groaned as she shook her head. The blood Lost was getting to her. She looked to the left to the Guardian.

"Ian...."

T'Sa winced as the pain shot though her again. It seemed every time she tried to move, or breath, or even think this happend.

"Ian,...what's...what's your status?"

T'Sa checked her dispaly for any nearby enemy vessel she could fire on...
