Nebula class is mainly for scientific research. That big thing ontop of it is a very powerful sensor array if I'm not mistaken.

I love Soverien class. Sleek, wonderful design. Too bad it dosen't seperate like Galaxy class though :/

You are corect, but during the dominion wars it was modifed, two sensor platforms were removed to acomidate added torpedo tubes, and phaser strips were added to the hull. After that modification it became a heavy scout, with very acurit longrange sensors and a payload that could kick@$$.

Defiant. nice fast manuverable ship but very powerful and dangerous, and the pulsating phasers look like Photon torpedos. I read that it says defiants are quite abundant but how come the only defiant i have seen is siskos flagship? Was the info i read false?

But it's like love or hate, now is that real or fake?
Cause it's a real thin line, but that's your choice to make.
The question at hand, help me understand, is this your plan?
I think I can, can I think, then I think I can.

Actually I prefer Cheyenne class (below). It's a heavily modified version of a defiant class ship

Yah, this thread it just like the one in general chat.
Anyway, my fav is the same as it in the other thread..........MIRANDA!!!!!
Same reason as before too, the Mirandas have been around since the era of the constitution class ships, and tey are still being widely used!..Hehe...It would have to be a sturdy and usefull little ship to be used in modern times. I mean, has anyone ever seen another ship from almost 100 years ago still being used as much as the Miranda is?

Am I the only one that thinks the astrometrics lab on Voyager is like the coolest thing in Star Trek?

Not really, I think it's relatively cool.

I love the Soverign overall. But the others I think are best are:

Akira class is a nice ship, doesn't look that good though.
Defiant class is powerful considering its size.
Galaxy class is a real beauty.

I guess honestly the reason why I like the Sovereign class best is because of the things that I could do to increase its weapon power. I thought a lot about it and I remade the Sovereign in a design I have stashed away somewhere with total weapons refit and alterations and added locations and stuff. Now that I really think about it, the remodel might be a little overkill.

Dude, you have to go to the Daystrom Institute, or at least the official Star Trek website.

You gotta research some of this stuff yourself, the materials are obviously out there.
