The Defiant, with the cloak is starfleet's best warship, but the sovereign and promethius class are obviously more advanced and stronger, althogh the akira class also seems to be a formidable warship.

the neg'var ship from the ds9 ep favour the bold is pretty kool, but i still think the federations design approach to ships is the best(the akira, prometheus and allmighty sovereign being the best)

Are there only ships that appeared in DS9?
I like USS Avenger(Defiant), and the USS Enterprise-E(Sovereign).

But it's like love or hate, now is that real or fake?
Cause it's a real thin line, but that's your choice to make.
The question at hand, help me understand, is this your plan?
I think I can, can I think, then I think I can.

Yah, i would have chosen prometheus but there are some serious design flaws to it. Anyways, why is this in DS9? and isn't their already a topic like this in General Startrek?

Your right, there were 2 recorded intrepid classes during the dominion war but both were sent to patrol the Romulan-Federation nutruel zone,

Name Registry Status Notes
U.S.S. Sovereign NCC-73811 Operational Prototype ship launched in 2370. Briefly used during Borg invasion, but stayed mothballed due to design flaws and difficulties in systems integration. Relaunched in 2378 and assigned to Starbase 12 to defend and explore the sector surrounding the Vesuvi system.
U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-E Operational Federation Flagship, launched under command of Jean-Luc Picard in 2372. Complete history here.
U.S.S. Monarch NCC-75214 Operational Launched in 2373, part of armada sent to intercept Borg cube. Heavily damaged in incident.
U.S.S. Paramount NCC-75238 Operational Launched in 2373. Sent to patrol Cardassian border, acted as a deterrent to raiding parties during the Dominion War.
U.S.S. Dominance NCC-75476 Operational Launched in 2375, participated in final assault on the Cardassian homeworld
There would have been but the sovereign weren't designed until late in the Dominion war.
