So, if red is the color of command, does that mean the pilot is also a command position? What is mean is that... in Voyager, is Paris part of the command staff or is he a command officer too?

At least he's a senior officer.. I think he'd take over the Bridge if anything happened to Janeawy, Chakotay amd Tuvok...

I sadly don't know what that makes him.. A commanding officer I guess

All bridge officers have to wear red, unless they are temp. there (like B'Elenea and 7

7 didn't wear a correct uniform at all. Ever! (except for that time where the ship from the future removed her implants and gave her a blue/green uniform to go back and find a thing hidden on Voyager) .D

THIS IS THE WAY IT GOES IN VOYAGER'S TIME!
RED=BRIDGE OFFICER (Captain,Commander, Helm)
GOLD=TACTICAL OFFICER (Operations, Engineering, Security)
TURQUOISE=MEDICAL/SCIENCE (Doctor, Nurse, Researcher
*NOTE:although someone works on the bridge, like tuvok or kim, they still where gold/yellow because being a tactical overides being a bridge officer.
