I've been poking around a lot lately for good tutorials and examples of digital painting and pencil drawing.
Here's a hand and arm tutorial.
And a wonderful diagram of the human face.

sorry for reviving an old thread, but i really liked the original idea of having a community help panel, and i just wanted to see if anyone else is still interested in the idea--or if we can just revive the thread for at least a short while.
i particularly enjoyed the REB Studios shuttle tutorial (i'll have to download Wings 3D and give it a go). i also found the tutorials TrekkieMage posted particularly helpful.
personally, i work mostly with Photoshop and Illustrator, but i want to get a digitizing tablet and start doing stuff with Painter and Freehand. i'm also trying to learn how to do figure drawing and paint (acrylics), so if anyone has any good tips/links for me i'd be much obliged.
if there's any interest at all, i can try to come up with some tutorials to add as well. you can get an idea of the work i do here: http://semantic-labs.com/portfolio
post here or msg me if you like anything you see and would like me to create a tutorial on it (or give you a link to the tutorial that i followed, heh). and don't worry, most of the stuff i do is a lot easier than it looks--not like sketching or 3d modeling, which require lots of skill and technique.
