A very good friend of mine played that song at a time just before we had to part ways, it was very difficult for me to have to leave, but it was the best decision for my life (and one that God wanted me to make). Therefore, for the first few weeks, when I listened to that song, it reminded me of the situation and how much I missed my good friend.
Oh yeah, lyrics:
Packing up the dreams God planted
In the fertile soil of you
Cant believe the hopes hes granted
Means a chapter in your life is through
But well keep you close as always
It wont even seem youve gone
cause our hearts in big and small ways
Will keep the love that keeps us strong
Chorus:
And friends are friends forever
If the lords the lord of them
And a friend will not say never
cause the welcome will not end
Though its hard to let you go
In the fathers hands we know
That a lifetimes not too long to live as friends.
With the faith and love gods given
Springing from the hope we know
We will pray the joy youll live in
Is the strength that now you show
But well keep you close as always
It wont even seem youve gone
cause our hearts in big and small ways
Will keep the love that keeps us strong
Chorus

Somewhere Over the Rainbow. I just watched Judy Garland concert from the late 60's, probably only a year or 2 before she died, and she was in tears. It was so emotional, but so good. Watching it made me sad

HI,havent been here for a while, but this thread has hit a chord with me at the moment! My dad died of cancer a week ago,no sob story, but my brother and I had to think of nice songs for his funeral.
We picked "Annie's Song" by John Denver,as he really loved that song.It is now a sad but beautiful song to me.
I also love Christine Augulera's new song "Hurt",just beautiful!

"I'll be Missing You" by P. Diddy and Faith Evans is rather sad.
"Every day that passes,
Every move I make, every single day,
Is a day that I get closer,
To seeing you again,"
Awww. No tears, though.
