Perhaps you VOy fans should leave the Voy topic area. You would find that there are other shows and topics for them as well.

What are you talking about? I wasn't telling you all that you don't have the right to post here. I was saying, if you all manage to pull yourselves away from the VOY section, you would see that there are other topics here. Topics that don't revolve around VOY...Thus...the other fans go THERE.

Have you ever seen TNG or DS9?

- Yes I have. I've seen quite a bit of both shows. More TNG than DS9. Including all of TNG's movies.

Janeway is not as good as a captain as you are saying and she is not perfect like your suggesting. She more mistakes than that, a lot of bad descisions in my opinion.

- I never said anything about her being perfect. Or that her decisions were perfect I said she had a much harder time with decisions because of her situation.

In otherwords your all justifying her bad descisions just because of her situation?

BTW, I have seen EVERY episode of star trek (except some original series), and believe I am in a better position to comment on comparing the captains to one another, and am saying Picard or Sisko would not constantly make bad descisions if they were in her situation. Further more, I doubt Janway could have taken the job role of Picard or Sisko's job, and I don't understand how she became an admiral of all things.

You all blame B&B for bad writing in voyager and enterprise, yet also think Janeway was such a great captain, when B&B really made her a very bad a bi-polar captain. I have nothing at all against the actress I think she played the character well to what B&B wanted Janeway to be. But I do think a lot of people here are in conflict with their own opinions of B&B & Janeway.

It doesn't matter about how much trek you've seen. You can't say "I am in a better position to comment about how Sisko or Picard WOULDN'T have made such bad" (in YOUR opinion) "Decisions because I've seen more Trek and can anticipate the different responses of each captain."

Please. Nobody can say that. I don't care WHO you are. You could be B&B yourself and you still wouldn't know until you're writing for the characters.

There is NOBODY here to say that Picard or Sisko would have done any better in her circumstances. So we're not "justifying" her "bad" decisions in YOUR eyes. We're clearly saying that we don't know what Picard or Sisko would have done and YOU can't say that they would have acted any differently. I mean, I think I've seen enough of Sisko that he would have crossed the line more than a couple of times, JUST AS JANEWAY had done. When he gets pissed at something so bad, he'd do it. I'm quite sure of it.

Yes, I agree with the whole B&B part. They kind of made things go way down hill.

First of all, VOY was built for deep space exploration missions. At least...it had the capability. You're thinking of the Nova class.

Founder, what I meant by support from the Federation, I didn't mean that they supported Picard and Sisko all the time, I meant Janeway didn't have the support of the Federation because they weren't in the Alpha Quadrant. Even when Picard and Sisko did things alone, at least they had some Federation allies whenever they might have needed them and Starfleet. So, sorry if that was maybe a misunderstood statement on my part. And I thought that the Intrepid class ships were for courier and rescue missions and not deep space exploration? But I dunno, I could be wrong.

Although I have a solution for this topic right now:

People who dislike Janeway, agreed, you don't like her, we know, and you're not going to convince us who do like her that she's a bad captain, just like we're not going to able to convince you that she's a good captain.

There, end of story. And yes I do think she's made some poor decisions, yet I do think she made some right ones considering her situation. But then again that's my opinion. Why doesn't everyone agree to disagree then? That would solve a lot less arguing.
