Steve woke up and spoke: "Uhh? i feel much better thank you doc!".
Just as steve said that he started to disapear and transform after a couple of seconds stevens body dissapeared and this appeared.

Steve then spoke: "Ah i feel funny do i look alright?"

Steve had transformed into a mage.. or somethinG!

Admiral Bates' Office, Earth.

"Admiral!" a strange young man exclaimed, as he entered the office.
"What do you want?"
"READ THIS!"

Padd D: Genetic Engineering Experiment # 21341, AKA Leo, Steven Cole
This is a formal report on the dissasterous event that transpired 20 odd some years ago.
A man named Steven Cole was born. Encoded in his DNA, was the spirit of an evil force.
It was meant to give this person inhuman strength.
And it had.
Recent studies of the DNA from this experiment show that, should the "Host", aka Steven Cole, Die, the evil Spirit, Leo, will take control, and the body will shift to a creature who will avenge it's death, and retake honor at all costs.

"Oh my god..." Admiral Bates thought, quickly thinking about how the creature's transponder failed.
If the creature was dead... there are only two individuals on that ship that would be able to do that... and one had to die first...
Things were not going according to plan.... Not at all.

USS Hickory, Bridge.
"Alright, Crew, Let's take off." Laurent exclaimed, happy to be rid of this planet.
He was still haunted, slightly by the dark creature standing beside him, but he sensed that the creature had a mission to do.
Laurent had one too.
There is one man that must die.
For Loren Van den Haus, Captain of the USS Fairview.
For the crew of the USS Fairview.
For Reid Mortineson, Captain of the USS Devange.
For the crew of the USS Devange.
For the crew of the fleets who defended, blindly, a crazy admiral's orders.
For a planet who's society now lies in ruins.
For a friend who had become something else, and who required revenge for it.
This, Laurent promised to all of them.
Admiral Bates would die.
It was the only way for HONOR to be restored.

Chapter One Opener

CHAPTER ONE: A revenge's beginning.

The USS Hickory, now on it's way towards earth, albiet slowly, since the hyperwarp still wouldn't work properly, knew eventually it would have to engage the Monitor, but that wasn't thier primary priority.
The USS Hickory was currently moving at 1/8th IMpulse. The best that the ship could make on Docking Thrusters.
Slowly, following it, the USS Monitor did what it was supposed to do. It Monitored.
It didn't, however, know that the USS Hickory knew they were out there.
The captain of the saucer flying slowly towards earth was very worried.
His "New" crew member was showing signs of becomming an incredible force to reckon with.
Anger, Fury, and Vengance fueled it, and seemed to add to it's power.
According to the ship's logs, this shouldn't have been possible. According to Leo's Medical File, He should be dead.
Instead, he was more powerful than ever.
Perhaps even more powerful then Laurent himself.

Federation Council Chambers, Earth:

President: "This general court martial of Admiral Bates, for the destruction of starfleet top secret property, namely Bio-Engineering creature 243242, is now in session."
Strange little man: "WAIT! Mr. President, I have urgent information that you REALLY need to see!"
President: "Alright... Show me what it is you need to show me."
Strange little man in Purple Robes: "On the behalf of Admiral Bates, I present Top Secret Data. Would all people without proper authorization please leave the chambers."
All but the admirals, the president, and the strange little man in purple clothing evacuated the chamber.
Strange little man in Purple Robes: "I am Traunell. I am the planetary leader of the planet Ivalice. There are some things you must know that nature has bestowed on two people involved, and One thing that the federation has bestowed on one person involved. I am also here, despite what the admiral has said, to speak for the accused."
This caused a stir among several admirals.
President: "I thought that the ADMIRAL was the accused."
Traunell: "He is one. Admiral Bates accuses the crew of the USS Icarus of mutiny. This is not entirely true. However, we will get there in due time. I present to the Chambers, and Mr. President, Ivalice's Public Defence records for the Black Mage, Laurent, and the White Mage, Yuko. These are not thier actual titles, however they are the closest english equivelant."
President: "Very well. We will hear you through."
Traunell: "Good. Please look up at the Data Display Device."
Traunell moved over to the chip reader, and inserted a small chip.
Traunell(On recording): "If you are seeing this, This is classified information. Please use extreme caution when reading."
Data Display Device Screen:
Laurent, Mage, Black.
Laurent is a unique Black Mage. He is the creator of a sub-set of magics, to which none have ever heard of. He calls them "Elemental Magics". They exist of only Seven Spells.
They are:
Fireken
Thunderken
Blizzarken
Holyken
Flareken
Ultimaken
and the most powerful, which he himself is currently the only living creature capable of casting, although, only while in a "Trance" mode; Hadoken.
Most of these spells are completely and totally drainging for him to cast, however when in "Trance" or "Overdrive" mode, he is capable of casting them more than once.
Family Background: Laurent
Unknown to most, Laurent is from the same planet which Yuko, and, believe it or not, the famous Loren Van den Haus, the Vierra red mage, who was captain of the USS Fairview. This planet, Ivalice, is home to many strange creatures. However, the strangest one is most definetely, Laurent.

Official Defence Data; Yuko Darkmage
Unknown to most, he is actually niether Black, nor White biased.
He is considered a "Green" mage.
However, recent events have made his white magics more biased.
He is incapable of casting higher class magics, however, he is capable of putting alot of power behind the lower class ones.
Bieng well known for creating a complete sub-set of white magic, most of which no one else knows about, he is hailed as the "Ruling Healer" on Ivalice.

There was silence in the chambers now. Even Admiral Bates sat stunned at the screen.
President: "Mr. Traunell... This is disturbing news."
Traunell: "Disturbing, Mister President? That is yet to be seen. Admiral Bates calls the next creature an "Evil Force", however, it is truely only evil to him, because he is the one who ordered it's death. The creature you are about to see the statistics of, although we don't actually have a PICTURE of it, is called Leo. It was a dark force in Ivalice, which Starfleet captured, and attempted to ingrain it into Bio Engineering. Now, Look at Starfleet's biggest shame, which has been covered up for close to thirty years."
Data Display Device: "Now displaying file "Bio-Engineering Genetic Engineering Experiment # 21341".
Leo/Steven Cole
Long ago, on the planet Ivalice, a dark shadow, Leo, wandered about, inflicting justice on those who were unjust.
Then it became selfish, and used it's powers to protect itself.
Approximately 30 years ago, it was captured by the USS Excelsior.
It had been ingrained into Starfleet's 21 thousand, 3 hundred, and Fourtieth experiment. The number reads "21341" only because 13 is considered an unlucky number, and hence, Experiment 13 never existed.
Recent studies of age old DNA have suggested that should the current host be killed, Leo would be reborn, and any who played a part in it's hosts death would die, or have to find a way to defeat it.

President: "It would seem, Admiral Bates, that you have made powerful enemies."
Bates: "Yes... so it would..."
Admiral Bates physically shook.
He had never been so afraid for his life before.
President: "This council will reconvine tommorow to here Traunell's evidence which he says may alieviate the crew of the USS Hickory."

Yuko whas searching in the library for some spells of foreseeing the future with all the events happening lately
He found nothing unfortunately.
He began creating hisself a future spell, only he got mixed up some.

''Ehm... is this maybe something? Let's try... FUTURA!''
A ball of explosive materials appeared...
''Not so good, Dissa!''
The ball of explosives dissapeared.

Steve then jumped off the biobed to find a big thump and the ship rocked around as his feet touched the ground.

"Uh!?" Said Cole. He then looked as his hands to find his hands changed, Steve was shocked and ran to a hand mirror and looked at himself and said: "AWSUME im a Dark Mage!, Muhahaha."

Cole then rushed out of sickbay and got to a turbolift: "Bridge". The turbolift was moving up and up and then stopped at the bridge. He Steped out to find all the officers staring at me, i slowly walked past them and walked down to my seat.

Steve then turned to Laurent and said: "Dont i look cool, and i bet i have cool powers." Steve then noticed the haunted look on Laurent's face. "Are you alright LaurenT, im alright, the crew are all alright be happy!!"

Chambers of The Council, Earth; Admiral Bates' Court Martial, Day 2.

Traunell: "And now, ladies and gentlemen of the council, Here is something to chew on. I recieved this transmission, approximately... I don't know... according to the stardate, approximately 12 hours after the Icarus Incident. Please pay attention to the Data Display Device."
Laurent(On screen): "To the attention of governer Traunell.
This is the victim's side of the story of the event that took place, roughly half a day ago.
The USS Icarus, USS Devange, USS Fairview, USS Scientia, USS Spork, and the USS Venault, along with 9 smaller vessels aproached the planet Loriana. We were told that we were sent there to "Rescue a diplomatic convoy" by admiral bates. Attached to this recording, you will find a duplicate recording of that message, and the one recieved upon reaching Loriana. As it turns out, the Diplomatic Convoy had been removed by the USS Monitor roughly 12 days before we arrived.
When we reached the planet Loriana, Admiral Bates sent us our NEW orders.
We were to OBLITERATE the planet Loriana, because they refused to give us thier dilithium, and join the federation.
I, and two of my fellow captains, Rebelled against this order, citing the prime directive.
Captain Loren Van den Haus, long live her soul, perished, while using her out-of-date starship to try and take out some of the fleet that did not approve of our counter to the admiral's orders.
Just when things looked impossible for us, a BORG CUBE appeared out of a transwarp corridor.
It obliterated all 13 remaining ships, INCLUDING the USS Devange, who, I'
m sad to say, was my only remaining ally.
With no choice left, I seperated my ship, and threw the engineering section into the cube with it's warp coils.
We have been finding our fellow crew, mostly in pieces, or in life pods, or in life pods that are now in pieces, and they have joined us.
We will seek justice, and we will seek vengance, and Admiral Bates had best be on gaurd.
Because I'm comming for him."

Traunell: "The Admiral may debate the validness of this video, however, he cannot debate that he did not order the obliteration of Loriana. We have records of the order from both his computer, and the caption Captain Laurent sent us."
Admiral Bates: "Darn you Traunell! I will kill you!"
Traunell: "I don't think so. You have no idea who I am, or what I can do to you. Just by thinking."
President: "THAT IS ENOUGH, BOTH OF YOU. Admiral Bates, I hear by find you GUILTY of the charge given, abusing you command.
You are hereby demoted to Captain of the USS Icarus-B.
This Court is Adjourned."

USS Hickory, Captain's Observatory:
Laurent slowly paced his observatory, watching space fly cautiously by.
at 1/8th IMpulse, things weren't going that fast.
Engineering promised that by tommorow, the IMpulse engines would be fixed, and hence, the hyperwarp would work.
With a flash of time, and space, he remembered how the USS Scientia had sent down a boarding party to "Rescue" the "Diplomatic Convoy" which didn't exist.

Planet Loriana, 27 days ago, Loriana Incident.
Captain of the Scientia Security team: "FAN OUT! Kill as many of them as you can."
Scientia Security Team: "Aye sir!"

USS Icarus Security Response team:
Captain Laurent: "Lady, and gentlemen, I am here to show you all, that I do not believe in the Admiral's orders. We will fight. And we will be right."
Icarus SR team: "Aye sir!"

The two teams marched towards eachother, and very soon, a phaser fight had started.
Captain Laurent's Anger took over completely.
He began to glow and sparkle.
He jumped roughly 27 feet into the air, and cast an incredibly powerful firespell on his opponents.

It was time for things to end.
The entire landscape the Scientia's security team had stood on was now in cinders.

"USS Icarus, to CAPTAIN LAURENT! THERE IS A CUBE INCOMMING!"
Laurent: "BEAM US UP! NOW!"

USS Hickory, Captains Observatory:
Laurent stood back from his window, and remembered those that died.
He glared out at the stars.
Somewhere out there, Admiral Bates was hiding.
And he would pay for what he had made Laurent.
And he would pay for what he had made Leo.
And he would pay for the injustices he ordered.
Vengance was like a Frozen Dinner.
Cold at first, but once you heat it up, it is oh, so good.

USS Hickory; Downfall:(Flashback)
laurent watched the main viewscreen, as the planet quickly came towards him. Pieces of debris were already landing, however the biggest one was yet to come.
With a powerful blast, the USS Hickory, Previously USS Icarus, blasted through the sky.
It crashed.
HARD.
into the ground.
Through a small Lorianan City.
The capital city of the planet.
One stray borg cube shot had shot out a crucial stabilizer.
Now the planet, and the Hickory lay in ruins.
14 Starfleet ships destroyed.
1 Borg Cube destroyed.
1/2 of the Icarus... Gone.

USS Hickory; Captain's Observatory(Present):

Laurent snapped out of his flashback... looking out into space... they were still crawling around at about 1/8th IMpulse.

"I'm Comming..."
He hurried towards the door.


USS Icarus-B; En Route to Loriana.
Admiral Bates had been sent to clean up the planet he destroyed.
Except he was CAPTAIN Bates now.
Laurent would pay.
His Crew would pay.
The federation would pay.
Vengance was a dish best served with a side dish of Vengance.

Steve walked in and sat down on a chair. Somehow this place didnt bring memories back to steve.

Steve than said: "Look LaurenT you must think i look strange, but i feel stronger than ever, and hapier. Someting was always wrong i felt in my heart, now its gone. Look the crews safe, im better than ever bee Happy"

USS Hickory:

Laurent slowly turned towards his First Officer.
"It's not you that I'm afraid of, Commander. I'm afraid of myself. Of my memories. Of what Admiral Bates has made me, and you into, and of my feelings towards him. I'm also afraid of what the council is going to do to us. The only thing I'm not afraid of, it getting revenge for my friends, and for my comrades."
Intercom: "Bridge to Captain Laurent, We have a "Visitor"."
"I'll come soon."
He looked back at his First Officer.
"I'm afraid of what I might do to others, to get my revenge."

Steve than replied; "Hey hey, Admiral Bates has made me into a much happier person, he has unlocked my inner bieng. And i will not have anything to do with his killing. I Will not let you kill him, he has made me a better person. Sure he has made a mistake, but he hasnt done anything wrong to me. And it is my job to inflict justice on those who were unjust".

USS Hickory, Captain's Observatory.

Laurent's eyes glowed with fire.
"HE ORDERED THE DEATH OF THE PLANET LORIANA! HE MADE MURDERERS OUT OF THE SCIENTIA'S BOARDING PARTY! HE FORCED ME, AND TWO OF MY CLOSEST FRIENDS TO FIGHT AGAINST OUR COMRADES FOR WHAT WE BELIEVE IN. HE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DEATH OF REID MORTINSON, AND HIS CREW, LOREN VAN DEN HAUS, AND HER CREW. THEY HAVE A CHILD. DID YOU KNOW THIS? I JUST FOUND OUT. HOW DARE YOU SAY I AM UNJUST TO SEEK VENGANCE FOR THE DEATH OF MY FRIENDS, AND MY COMRADES?"
Laurent quickly re-asserted his normally cool tone.
"You are dismissed Commander. I will be on the bridge once I have cooled down."

"Sure its sad, but revenge isnt the answer. Its like the day when people were hanged on earth for killing someone. Revenge, its like committing the same crime that the person that did you wrong did. To Qoute my religion, "Never do wrong to the person who did you wrong; Forgive them and move on."

"I SAID YOU WERE DISMISSED, COMMANDER. LEAVE. Now."

5 hours later...
The Doctor whas already researching the library for the spell. What then happened...
"Already my second day and sill nothing!"
He angrily whacked his hands on the console when a spell apeared.
The doctor wanted to leave but a ensign stood by the console and said:
"Sir... isn't this the spell you searched"

"What the... it really is!"
The Doctor readed it and found that only few can master this spell. It could only be cast by a experienced mage. He then found one person on the ship to cast this spell. LaurenT. Immediately he teleported himself to the observatory. "Teleporto devere Hickory Captain Observatory."

-Bridge-
The Doctor appeared appeared infront of the Observatory not knowing Steven whas in nor that the captain whas unable to talk.
He tapped the door button and said.
"Ehm captain, are you there?"

"Remeber what i said captain" Said Steve as he walked out onto the bridge and sat down in his seat.

USS Icarus, Flashback, Launching day:

It was three months before the Lauriana Incident...
Slowly, but surely, a bottle moved towards the hull.
Laurent stared out his quarters, watching it move towards the hull.
Somewhere out there, he knew, he would have to take a stand.
He just hoped that he wouldn't go overboard.

USS Hickory, Captain's Observatory(Present):
Captain Laurent watched the stars move by. IMpulse engines were back up. Hyperwarp would be available soon.
He stared out, at the outer rim of his ship.
His ship.
It was really three ships.
His Engineering Crew, mostly patched together of three ships, had salvaged parts of two other ships, including the Hyperwarp core, from the Devange, and the Fairview.
Laurent remembered the last time he talked with Loren, and Reid.
It was just before the launch cerimony of his ship...

Starfleet Ship Yards, Mars, Sol System(3 Months, a few days ago)
The Icarus hung there.
In the fleet yards.
It was ready to go.
"Wow... now that's a ship." Loren whispered.
The three of them sat in the back of a small run-about.
The only other person on board was the helm ensign.
"Woah... that makes the Intrepid class Devange look a little underpowered." Reid said, in his strangely female voice.
"Hey! You guys have cool ships too! There's that hyper-warp antique, and the sleek new thingys they added to the intrepid!" Laurent had said.
"Just like a kid." Loren said.
"Hmm... Yeah." Reid replied.
"Hey! You guys must have been excited when the gave you your first command!" Laurent exclaimed.
"Oh yeah... a big bucket of rust, with a new engine." Loren quipped.
"My ship ain't CRAP compared to your state of the art movable planet, and this is my THIRD one. I had to work UP to this." Reid replied.
"Oh you guys, you are just trying to keep me psyched up." Laurent said, returning the jokes.

USS Hickory, Captains Observatory(Present):
Laurent stared out the plexiglass.
He thought back... alot. He remembered much of the shuttle trip.
It had been TWO VERY LONG hours.

Run-about, Starfleet Fleet Yards, (Flashback...Continued)
They were almost there... they could see the docking port.
"I want... I want to make a promise... between the three of us." Loren whispered.
"Well... let's hear the lady out." Reid said.
"Alright, Lo, What do you have in mind?" Laurent had asked.
"If... one person... doesn't make it back... The other two have to make sure that the person who killed them suffers for it. As per Ivalice honor requirements."
"Loren, I'd do it... but not because Honor required it." Reid said.
"I'd do it because you two are my friends." Laurent had said. Totally missing the subtext on Reid's comment.

USS Hickory, Captain's Observatory; Present:

Laurent stared out towards the stars.
"I'll do it because you two were my friends." He whispered.

USS Icarus-B; Bridge
CAPTAIN Bates wasn't amused.
As usual.
"Captain Bates, sir?"
Bates turned quickly.
"We have a ship...that just went into hyperwarp... on scann...wait... it's gone now."
Bates' eyebrows lifted.
Laurent had survived.
Good.

USS Hickory, Captains Observatory:
The doctor appeared out of no where.
Laurent snapped out of his memories.
"Yes Doctor?"

-U.S.S. Hickory, Bridge-

Steve than remebered what he said and left the bridge and went in the turbolift. "Main Engineering.. Wait belay that, Armoury" the turbolift then went down and down and then finally reached the Armoury level.
The computer than spoke: "This deck is restricted to level clearance 9 or above". Steve than said: 'Authorization Cole alpha89". The computer replied "Authorization Accepted" and the doors opened to the armoury.

Steve then stood in the middle of the armour and raised his hands and said: "I SUMMON MY FRIENDS, COME ONE, COME ALL, I SUMMON MY FRIENDS, COME ONE, COME ALL. Steve then took a mighty jump and he landed with a thump to find 5 of his species appeared. Steve then spoke: "MY friends we must seek justice, we must stop this ship from getting to earth!, grab a rifle, set it on stun or use your powers, no body dies though!."

Stevens friends then moved out of armoury and all squezed into the turbolift. "Main Engeneering" the all said.
After a couple of moments the doors opened in main engeneering, and a couple moments later all crew in egeneering were stunned.

Steve than rushed to the impulse drive and rigged my phaser and left it were the impulse reactor was. It then exploded and the ship stopped.

Stevens friends then vented all plasma from the warp core.

Steve than said: "Seal all these doors with access codes and force fields"

His friends then complied and all doors to main engeeneering were sealed with force fields on both sides of every door.
Steves friends split up and 1 friend stood at each door protecting.

USS Hickory, Captain's Observatory:

"Captain! This is...*muffle*...Bridge crew! Mutiny!" Was all Laurent heard.
Then the sparkle of a security field was heard around his door.
So... Mutiny.
End of Chapter One.

Chapter Two Starter!
Uss Hickory: Chapter 2: Mutiny.

Day 27:
Laurent paced his Observatory.
He jokingly now called it his "penetentiary".

USS Hickory, Captain's Penetentiary.
Laurent wandered about.
He frequently remembered things.

USS Icarus, Launch Day.
Laurent smiled.
He stared out his viewscreen.
From his Captain's Chair.
"Engage." He whispered.
and warped out of the docking yards.
He had recieved three "demerits" for that from Reid.

USS Hickory, Captain's Penetentiary.
"Engage." He whispered.
But... nothing happened.

Steve and his friends were keeping watch in engeneering.

USS Hickory; Captain's... Thingy.

Everything had become thingys now.
There was the annoying thingy that didn't let him leave.
There was the thingy that gave him food and drink.
There was the thingy that...
...wait... what was that flicker doing here?
Time Froze.
Traunell Appeared.
"Take my hand, Laurent. You must speak your side to the council."
As Laurent took Traunell's hand, he popped to earth.
The Hickory stayed frozen in space, however time returned.

Earth; Chambers of the Council:

"Well... when you said you would get testimony from him... I didn't expect you to BRING him." the President said.
"I had to, Mr. President. An unknown force has taken over the USS Icarus/Hickory." Traunell said.
"Very well, Traunell. Captain Laurent, do you know why you are here?" The president asked.
"No, Mr. President, I do not." Laurent said, quietly.
"You are here, to be celebrated as a hero. And to give your account of what happened."
Hero? Laurent thought. After the Devange, the Fairview, the Scientia, the Lorianans... After all this... How am I a Hero?
"Mr. President, you may see me as a hero, but I do not. I promised my friends that justice would be taken against Admiral Bates. Yet, I have not gotten it for them." Laurent said.
"Captain Laurent, You have no idea, do you?" The president replied.
"No sir."
