His teachings had nothing to do with going against Judaism. They all supported everything in the Jewish religion. It wasn't until after his death that his teachings created a new faith.

And no, he didn't create the Catholic faith. He created Christianity.

Alright, Christianity. But we are not going too discuss Jesus Christ in this topic. There is already another for that.

Em, people seem to be misunderstanding catholic. Catholic is another word for christian. Roman Catholic is what people seem to be thinking about, they are just a part of the catholic church.

Jesus wasn't just a good person, so I'm not voting for Him in that way.

I knew that, i thought it sounded weird . But i'm dutch so forgive me.

Christianity is the Religion

Catholicism is the Faith

I'm talking out of my ass here.

I'm scared that you exist. If that is what you think, that explains SO much about your hatred towards Catholiscm. You're so completely misinformed, its not even funny and quiet frankly, frightning.

I'm not sure who to vote for. All of them were great. They did a lot for peace, spirituality, and goodwill. Something this world could use more of.

Something is said? what? Wasn't it true? Jesus christ was Jewish right? Jesus Christ existed right? Jesus Christ teached pople in Christinity right? Christianity is different faith then Jewish right? then teaching Christianity is going against the jewish faith isn't it?

i don't say that out of hatred towards Catholics, my hatred is actually quite passive.

No, it isn't against Jewish faith. Not at all. Just because a Religion is different, that doesn't mean they're automatically enemies. I'm Catholic, but love people of ALL faiths.

You're not of faith are you?

Jewish and Christianity aren't enemies per se. They worship God in a different way. Thats all.

Sadly, in the past, that was enough for us to kill each other.

The Judaic faith's bible is incorporated into the Christian one's. It would be rather stupid if they were opposite.

Jews (some) are actually quite hard against christianity for a few reasons. A number of the nazi's in WW2 claimed to be christians and so were disliked. Also the Jews (religion jews rather than people) believe that the Messiah is still to come and so disagree with christians for claiming he has.

It's kind of the same way that sadly some "christians" dislike Jews because they crucified Jesus, when it was just as much them.

Well, the WWII thing is just all around ignorance. And the second part is what makes Christianity different from the Judaic faith, but it doesn't mean they "oppose" one another.

I agree with some of what Baha'u'llah said.

How do you know people voted for him out of his "fame"?

Anyone who holds a grudge against a Jewish person because Jews crucified Christ needs to think, and they would realize that they are wrong. Christians crucified Christ. Every single Christian has sinned has crucified Christ. Christ died so that our sins could be forgiven, and that those who have faith in him could enter heaven. If anything, Christians should hold it against themselves, because Christ died for them, as much as anyone.

I definitely figured Ghandi would have had more votes. From what I know about him at least, he seemed like a very good guy. MLK though...I mean I think he had a good cause...but I didn't think he was as good as the other people up there.

I don't hate Jewish people, But I definitly disagree that Christians were the ones who called for his death.

You're talking about Christians crucifying Jesus in a metaphorical sense. We're talking physical. Although if we wanted to get technical, it was the Romans who did that. At the behest of the Jewish people.

I also think you're mentality of Chrisitians "holding it against themselves" is not right. We shouldn't be angry about it, but rejoice about what Jesus did for it. Not blame ANYONE.

I didn't say we should hold ourselves against it. I said if you are going to get angry at someone over it, try getting mad at yourself next time you sin. I definately didn't promote going at and yelling at everyone in your parish next time you go to church. Either way, is stupid to be 'angry' at anyone for it, because like you said, we should celebrate His sacrifice, because He did die for us and conquered death so that we could go to heaven. (Btw, the 'you' was not directed at you yourself Founder, just meant for anyone who feels that way )

I understand.

I agree though. I think many people should focus on what He was trying to do, rather than Him dieing.

Ghandi definitly made a very interesting choice. At a time when violence was everywhere, he elected the way of peace. Which was interesting, because most would resort to violence or even terrorism.

Same thing with MLK. He could have called for African Americans to rise up and fight, but he did peaceful protests.

Both men won against their oppresors. KKK? They are now a backwater, redneck, idiotic institution. A terrorist group IMO. Terrorism never wins in the end.
