Well, that's part of what I would think. That is, we acquire the Nuclear weapons of North Korea, Iran, etc, and then dismantle them.

I still don't feel it is right to take away what their own country has developed and keep them. Wheather the intentions for them are good or bad. I'm sure they can come to some sort of treaty, and I don't think any country would knowingly risk going to war with america, because, well, it would 10X more force than the Iraq war.

I guess I don't want america to be the only country allowed to have weapons like that. Do you think every other country considers usa as a threat because we have them?
But I do understand what you are getting at though.

Well, at least you understand. But you also have to understand that we're NOT talking about Nuclear weapons in the hands of Britain or Australia or France. They wouldn't harm us. But on the other hand, a country like North Korea, where their people are tortured and oppressed by the government, or Iran, having Nuclear weapons is not a good thing for the world. So chances are that they wouldn't attack us--so what? They STILL present great cause for alarm, may attack us, and present a certain danger to even the most powerful of the world's nations.
Besides, North Korea wouldn't sign a treaty, anyways. You can't always trust in the good will of evil people

don't get me wrong.. you do have a good point. And I actually do agree with you on this. I just feel terrible that WE the unite states always has to be like.. the attention getters.... invading countries...

Why can't someone else do it for once, and have the US be the allies.

Technically, someone else did do it and the U.S. were the allies during the first two World Wars.

And Viet Nam: The French were there before us.

^ ok, that was wayyy long ago. This is now. I mean can we really afford to go in and invade N korea like we did Iraq? I don't think so...
That is my point about having someone else do it.

Could they run nuclear power stations off the dismantled parts of the bombs (if they dismantled them)? That would be a good solution.

I don't care what they do, I just don't want to see america invading another country.. one that is more powerful and smarter than the one they invaded before.

It goes the other way, you need a reactor to create the plutonium for the triggers.

All we really need to do is take all our soon-to-be-obsolete analog TV's and parachute them into North Korea, then broadcast TV from around the world to them. The people of North Korea have been shielded from the truth about the outside world too long. That is the stranglehold that allows the dictatorship their to continue.

What other country would lead an invasion army? None. Especially not France and Germany.
And good point about the NK dictatorship, Taz

And not expect the U.S. be the ones who everyone hates cause they invade every damn country.

We do NOT invade any other country, first of all. But in response to other countries caring about N. Korea--OF COURSE they do. But would they lead in military action against it? No. Especially with all the corruption of the Un.

I got reasons why we should invade them.

1 - North Korea is trying to blackmail the world.
2 - North Korea is threatning the U.S and its Allies in Asia.
3 - Kim Jong-Ill is a dictator who acts like Saddam.
4 - North Korean Army has imprisoned innocent people.
5 - Many executions of civilians in North Korea happen a lot.
6 - Kim Jong-Ill is an evil man who does not care for his people.
7 - Kim Jong-Ill is letting his people to starve to death by using 70% of the food resources in the country and giving it to the military.

A good enough reason?

Liberals just don't understand why invading a country to rid a country of an Evil Dictator is so important.

I was listening to the news right now and they said that North Korea (SP) announced it does have the power to make nuclear weapons but for peacefull reasons, is what I think they called it.

England would probably back you up over North Korea. There's more reason to go there then to Iraq, and we followed you there. We voted Tony Blair back into power, so why not join in the fight against Korea?

You are SO right. Good reasons, and good comment at the end.

How can it be peaceful to make weapons? What are they planning to do with them, give them as peaceful offerings to other nations?

So you're saying we should wait until we're attacked to make a move? We have bussiness there because nucleare weapons are dangerous to the entire world in the wrong hands.

We have nucs. We don't use them unless we are to defend ourselves.

(not supporting N.Korea at all)
