Now, I just have to say that what you are seeing in the news from supposed US people is NOTHING compared to Saddam's regime. For instance, you know the infamous Abu Grahaib prison?
There Saddam's henchmen did the following to its prisoners:
-Stabbed them on a daily basis
-Electrecuted them
-Threw them on the floor and kicked them
-As they moved them from place to place, they would hit the heads of the prisoners
-Whipped them
-Cut off tongues, etc.

You want to compare this stuff to the Gitmo accusations? They don't even come close.

I'm not.

Because Saddam used to torture too. And no, I'm not saying you can compare the level of torture with one another.

No one who condons keeping the prisoners there for 3 years has answered my question about some of them not having the evidence to be convicted even though they have been there all that time. Sure, lots of them will be terrorists, but not all of them will. I don't mind it if they are keep locked up, but if there is people they can't convict then they should be released.

There has to be some legal reason to keep the person. If it is honestly thought that the individual is guilty, there is no way that they are going to do something stupid and lose the case on a technicality.

(And yeah, I remember the prisoner abuse, but that wasn't done by the legal system.)
