Well you could explain it to me perhaps. I just don't understand it.....as in, the sentence is put in a confusing way.

He was basically giving an example of what happens with illegal prostitution. Here in Aberdeen we have a small area that prostitution is legal in, and the police make sure none of them are harmed or raped. Outside this area though, the prostitutes can be arrested. This is more a local council thing rather than all over Scotland. I voted against it because prostitution is wrong basically, and encourages the spread of STD's.

I mean, there are women and children being forced into this profession whether they like it or not. It's ok sitting here saying we hate it, and we want nothing to do with it, and it makes us sick thinking about it, and we're glad it's not on our street. But it is on alot of other streets. In my opinion, if we can legalize it, we'd be helping alot of unlucky people.

Actually (at least in Britain) most of the prostitution is caused either by drugs, as the people need to get the money for them, and people that come over here looking for jobs and get driven to the desperation of prostitution. Almost all prostitutes don't want to do it, but need to keep their habit feed with money or get money to pay for their food. It would be better to pay for food rather than seeing up protection for them. And other money could be used to fight the drug problem.

i heard in Holland they legalised some A class drugs and people were free to do what they like. Joung children werent so interested anymore as the fun of doing something wrong was taken away. So far fewer people are using these drugs and the death rate from these drugs has plumited and so has crime related to that.

Maybe if this was legalised, many young children who idealise this behaviour wont anymore. I vote Legalise

First to Greg87, the appeal of something wrong isn't sometimes the main reason for prostitution actually the main reason is simple in that why they do it is what they get from it. Now to Kyre, you must stop and think, yourself, that when if it were legalized in the U.S. there would be so much more of it going on, and so it would mean a lot of protecting, and a lot of money to spend. Also, it really would mean much more of a spread of STDs because the U.S. is a BIG country. Also, prostitution is definitely wrong, even if you think it isn't, think about the bad signals you'd be sending to kids if you were to legalize it, kids would think, "Hey! I guess I can do that since it's legal." The point of sexual intercourse also shouldn't be for just the pleasure, it should be for love. One other thing, prostitutes don't have to be prostitutes! There are seriously other better ways of making money! I mean it's the United States for crying out loud. A land of 'equal' opportunities!

He may believe in God, and that God has said it's wrong, but it's not really a relevant question.

If man/woman had more than one wife/husband would it be wrong? I think most people would said yes. But if a guy/woman had a wife/husband and slept with a prositute then would it be wrong? I think it wouldn't be condemned as much. And if it was boyfriends and girlfriends and they had sex with different people I think most people would be fine with it. It seems wierd this, it's basically the same thing yet there is almost opposite views on the morality. Anyone agree/ disagree?

Yes I believe in God, and I also think that all those three things you mention, Jeremy, are wrong, and perhaps you should run a poll to see what people think. Of course the right thing to do is practice abstinence until marraige so it would be wrong anyway.

you will all see the logic now, Trekkie617 said The point of sexual intercourse also shouldn't be for just the pleasure, it should be for love

That is wrong, you can do it out of love but god never stated that pleasure must not happen!

I know what you were getting at, but it was the way you put it, it was more just a random question. You might have do you think it is wrong because God has said so.

God did say that you shouldn't have sex out of marriage according to the bible. He never said that you shouldn't have fun and pleasure, far from it! He wants us to enjoy ourselfs, but not if that involves sin. Sex was designed for pleasure, but it was only supposed to be man and wife, rather than just "a bit of fun with other people". It also symbolises the relationship between the church and Christ.

I think the things I mentioned are wrong, but most people nowadays don't seem to care about sticking with the same person.
