if you have not read the relaunch ds9 books i highly recommends, the last few books have been leading up to sisko's return. it might only be a brief return though. the way ds9 ended and the new characters/story lines are going in the new books, this show could of gone on another 7 years!!

No he isn't dead, he has basically been transformed into a prophet and has a non-coporeal existence, whether or not he'll return is another matter
