Kortal lightly tapped the console.

"Tactical is ready." He announced.

Sa'Val nodded, other voices began to speak. "Helm ready, Science ready" Consols were being used to check statuses. "Communications ready, Medical department ready." Sa'Val nodded. "Clear docking moorings...ahead half thrusters..."

Space

The attached tethers from the station to the ship broke off, tubes that connected to the airlock began to retract. The thrusters began to glow as they started to push the ship slowly foward as it exited the drydock...

Hatsumono gripped the arms of her chair as she felt the ship lurch slightly. She wasn't used to space travel.

"No turning back now..." She whispered, smiling gently over at Sa'Val in an attempt to calm her nerves.

Sa'Val nodded in response. The ship eas clearing the drydock. "Prepare to go to impulse...." Sa'Val looked to Hatsumono and nodded again. "No going back..."

Kortal stood silent, with a stony look on his face. He wondered what their first mission would be and if it involved danger. Then again, in this day and age, it always involved danger. His fingers tapped the tactical console. Weapons were primed and ready....

Sa'Val smirked as the ship went to full impluse, in several minutes, they will be able to go to warp. She sighed quietly and looked at her display consol. "Engineering, is everything set for warp?" she called out, to the officer at the engineering station. Everything checked out and several moments later. "Engage warp engines...." The young asian officer at the helm nodded in response as she enganged the engines. The stars flashed brightly, then started to stream by the viewscreen...

Erik felt the ship lurch and enter warp. He watched the viewscreen as the stars began to fly past the screen.

Erik sat at the engineering console dumbstruck, for the first time, he realy believed that they could succeed, that everything they were fighting for was not for nothing.

He looked around the bridge, everone's faces bore the same look.

Sa'Val stood. They were at warp 6. It would be a while before they got anywheres. She went to tactical. She looked at her friend, the Klingon at the station. "How are you...we didnt get to catch up..."

Kortal's eyes stared into the woman, the captain.

"I am well," He replied, in a very Vulcan way, "I just had a lot on my mind. I apologize for my abruptness."

Sa'Val nodded. "It's ok..." she looked over the station absantly. "Is it the other Klingons...?"

Kortal scoffed at the comment.

"If you could call them that," He said, "Yes, it is."

A sigh escaped his mouth.

"They are without honor and do not know what it means to be Klingon," He explained, "I jus-"

A beep rang out in his console. He quickly checked it and looked up at the captain.

"Captain," He said, "I'm getting a distress signal."

Sa'Vals eyes went wide. A distress call... She gave a nod to answer it and faced the screen.

The viewscreen showed a Humanoid alien on half destroyed bridge. There was fire in the backround.

"Anyone that can hear this," He said, "Please help me! Zerg...They're everywhere!"

The familiar hiss of a Zerg was heard in the backround and screams ended the hail. Kortal looked at the captain.

"Sa'Val!" He yelled, not caring about rank at this moment, "We have to go help! It would be...honorless to leave them to die."

Sa'Val's emotions filled her. "Set a course to intercept, maximum warp!" She turned to Kortal. "Battle stations"

Sa'Val paced the bridge, they were nearing, she looked to her first officer, then to tactical. "How long to intercept?" she called out to the helm.

Hatsumono looked at Sa'Val.

"Calm yourself, Captain. Pacing won't solve anything."

Sa'Val looked at Hatsumono and sighed and nodded slowly. "I know it's just... I;m..." She sat down and whispered to Hatsumono. "I'm scared...."

Hatsumono simply smiled.

"Don't be afraid." She whispered back. "Just be confident. That's the key."

Sa'val nodded. "I wish I had your confidence..." The helm beeped, Tara turned to the Captain. "We're entering range." Sa'val nodded. "Drop out of warp...."

The ship dropped out of warp near the damaged vessel. There wasnt an enemy ship near by, but it could be in sensor range still.

Sa'val took a deep breath to calm her self. "Do the sensors detect anything?"
