Sat Aug 10, 2002 7:49 pm Was it smart to make the ENTERPRISE show? |
|
It wouldn't fit with the other STAR TREK SERIES because on the other ones no one has ever mentioned CAPTAIN ARCHER as the first captain to dicover lots of species it is always "Kirk had first contact with that species" I am just saying I like the show and all it is just I dont think it was a to smart idea to make a captain no one has ever talked about, because it would confuse everyone not hearing his name in some series.

If you can get past the fact that Enterprise hasn't been mentioned in Trek history...I think you'll find its a great show. And the idea of the show was to attract viewers who don't own federation issue bedsheets(non trekkers)
I love ENTERPRISE!

I also like ENTERPRISE, I like star trek but am not a hardcore fan: Bed sheets, clothes, action figures, cards, stalking, <----------not me.

I don't have the bedsheets...but I do have the toys. I never meant to say that you didn't like Enterprise. And the fact that a "non hardcore" person such as yourself likes Enterprise is a +.

*chuckles* They actually make bedsheets?! Enterprise is really a great show, once you get used to the whole botched timeline thing. Somethings I suppose you just have to accept and try not to question too much

too me it seems like a much different show than the rest of the star trek series its more stand-alone, than all related in the timeline etc

you will find that trekkers will not worry about such details and the timeline etc. but trekkies will contradict every little mistake and worry all the time about the screwed timeline.

I guess that i'm a trekkie then, becuse i'm alwase finding stuff that shouldent be, like thouse klingon looking klingons, skouldent they be like the one's in kirks time, and how come there is a transporter version of those temporal guys but they need those crapy ships in voyager, it's all in the future shouldent it all be the same, and why dose the future starfleet not know of the temporal cold war when voyager meets captian braxton.

I think it was a brilliant idea. I mean, we've seen the 23rd century, and the 24th (spanning 3 series), so it's a nice change of pace, and it depicts the human race as less than perfect, other than the show's 24th-century predecessors.

The idea of the enterprise was to bring back star trek
because star trek voyager was on the verge of ending.
enterprise is ment to catch old and new star trek fans.

Enterprise =
The fact that there can't be Starfleet wars like in DS9 =
Yah, there are a few errors in Enterprise that contradict the other series, but for the most part it's devoloping and introducing stuff like holo technology, replicators, The Romulan Star Empire, etc.

But it's like love or hate, now is that real or fake?
Cause it's a real thin line, but that's your choice to make.
The question at hand, help me understand, is this your plan?
I think I can, can I think, then I think I can.
