Patriots/Eagles
I don't think the Eagles are any better than the Seahawks, but they've been playing better as of late, so...
I'm going to allow this topic this year given the debacle of last year, if that's ok with RM? - T

First, I think the Seahawks are nothing. They're lucky they got to play the Cowboys. Second, what happened last year?

SB topic was shut down and incorporated into the NFL topic.
I've no love for Seattle, but recently, when it matters, they've been able to make plays, and make them when it counts. I'd really rather see the Saints there, but I just don't think so.

I'm assuming that you're picking the Patriots as the AFC team. Hey the Seahawks have Deion Branch. Thats one thing going for them.

Yeah, I got a Branch jersey last spring, and now, ugh. That's ok, 'cause I also have a Dillon one, and as of Saturday, will have Bruschi as well,
I have to go with the Patriots. Not only are they my home team, and Brady is like, HOTT, , they can seriously play. If Brady can keep control, that is. I've never seen him get as flustered as he was this year.

They're great, I'll agree. Tom Brady is amazing.

lol, I don't expect any problems like last year if you don't. Last year's debacle really had little to do with the Bowl itself, so it's fine by me, for sure.
I hope the Eagles get there and the Patriots don't. There's a high chance the Eagles will lose this weekend (playing against the Bears, right?). If that happens, I think I'm going to root for the Bears. Otherwise, with the Giants and Broncos out, I want the Eagles, without a doubt, to gain the victory. I know I'm not supposed to root for them, as my dad always says, but I don't care
As for predictions, I couldn't begin to make one.

No, they are playing the Saints, the Hawks have the Bears.
As for me, I hope the Eagles don't get there and the Patriots do (can't believe I'm saying this after all these years, what has T done to me ). As for the NFC, it has been on a steady decline these past few seasons and I feel that of all those teams New Orleans deserves to be in the Super Bowl; however, that is just my thoughts...I'll make actual predictions once I see who the champions are playing in the bowl.

The Broncos were never in, do you mean some team like the Chiefs or Jets instead?

How crazy would it be if the Eagles won without McNabb

I know the Broncos were never in. Therefore, they were out from the start So what I told you was true, from a certain point of view

So true R_M, so true
As for the Chargers that some peeps are hyped about (sorry robbie)...I don't forsee them even beating New England (darn T again :p ) because of the fact that New England is on a roll and going for four. Yeah, Chargers have LT, Gates, Merriman, and all...but was Merriman defensive player of the year? No, cuz he had problems and got suspended. LT may be MVP, but so was Alexander last year or something...and they lost. And Gates...is too old too play for long in my book. Oh, and then there is Schottenheimer...the head coach who's been in this league so long and hasn't won squat, I forsee it staying that way following this weekend.

Just watch, I'm not a Chargers fan by any means. But its gonna be hard for the Patriots to win when Tomlinson throws, catches and runs for 5 TDs, lol. I really do think that the Chargers are the best in the AFC. Also, I'll bet that the Bears loose their first playoff game.

Also, how old is Gates? This is only his 4th year in the league.

I'll definately agree with you on those terms, as for Gates...I don't know, I think I'm just babbling cuz I haven't had any caffeine today ; however, its logical and somewhat true babbling

Sucks that the Eagles are out now. Sweet Home Chicago, here I come! (as far as team to root for, that is.)

Looks like the Bears won today . All my favorite teams are being eliminated. Hopefully the Patriots will at least beat the Chargers this evening.

The Saints better kick their ass. Otherwise I will have to listen to my friend go on and on about how the Bears are better than the Cowboys. (Which I know is true, I just don't want to listen to it.)
