PostFri Apr 21, 2006 9:03 pm    The most explored trek species?

Ok, so besides the Humans, what do you think is the most explored trek species? I mean, we've seen them alot, and a great deal of information has been given.

I will say, the Vulcans, (As we've had three series with at least one Vulcan was a main character) and the Klingons (as almost every series has ad Klingons futured alot)

The Borg may not be the MOST explored, but, we definitely saw our share with VOY. More than we wanted to, might I add.

Yeah, I'm gonna go with Vulcans...actually...I would say the Bajorans. I'll explain later.

Id say the Vulcans followed closely by the Borg.

Bajorans. They had seven years of continuous exploration in DS9.

I agree with Kuro-chan. The Bajorans may not have been seen the most in all of ST, but, from DS9 alone, you learn more about them than any other species...the Bajorans, for sure.

Yeah, Maybe, then again, like said, they were esential to the plot, so it could seem like that, but much beyond TNG we sadly havent seen them. We did see a couple in TNG though. Klingons were in every series, with facts about them being stated sense TOS.

So perhaps....

Vulcans
Klingons
Bajorans

I would say two groups:

Romulans
Cardasians

Sure, the Romulans, and perhaps even the Cardassians could fit in there to.

Definitly the Klingons IMO. In ENT, they were featured in several episodes. In TOS, they were like the main bad guys. In TNG, they had Worf's story lines with the Klingons and all the political stuff with Gowron, etc. Then in DS9, they had a war with the Klingons, Worf's storylines. Dax's love of the Klingons. Then the Klingons siding with the Fed. against the Dominion. Then on VOY, they had Torres and her connection to the culture. Although they were less see in VOY, I'll admit. But if you combined all the episodes about Klingons in all the shows, they would outnumber all of the aliens. BTW? I didn't even count the Klingons shown in the movies! Vulcans are CLOSE second though.

Yeah, I'm going to have to def agree here on the Klingons. Interesting fact: Klingons were shown more in TOS then Romulans because Klingon make-up was cheaper

LB I'll agree with you on that. I like the Klingon make up on TNG, DS9 and VOY. the Klingon makeup on TOS just made them more hite than anything else

Yeah, the real reason for that in TOS, they couldn't afford the make up for the ridges, damn NBC...

Klingon make-up was cheaper?!? Wow...that's nuts.

I would put my list as...

Klingons/Bajorans (tied, in my opinion)
Vulcans
Romulans/Borg (once, again...tied)

Yeah, I s'pose...I just don't think that they were as explored as much as the Bajorans were in DS9. The Cardassians played small roles in TNG and VOY (by that, I mean rather small). We found out most of our Cardassian knowledge from DS9. There was quite a bit, but...just not as much as the others.

One could really say the same about the bajorans, it really all depends on how you want to look at it

I s'pose, I guess...a matter of perspective, eh?

I guess I'll change my list a bit...

Bajorans/Klingons
Vulcans
Cardassians/Borg

Yeah, not in a particular sense of order, or how much, or hwo little, this is my list.

Vulcans
Klingons
Bajorans

Then perhaps:

Cardassians
Borg

MAYBE, depending on how one looks at it
Trill
Romulan

I'm sat on the fence between Klingon and Vulcan... can't decide which at the moment.

Klingon. They where seen in too many episodes and still they are interesting. But, since the question isn't about the episodes but what species Starfleet explored the most i have to go with Vulcans. They where the first aliens Human met.

Ah...do you know what alien species is the only alien species ('sides Humans, of course) to appear in every single episode of at least one episode?

Bajorans...every single episode of DS9 had a Bajoran in it. I wonder why...heh...

Ah, excuse me...Vulcans appeared in every episode of TOS, too...Spock...
