Yeah, but this guy's expected to do well in this role, I believe. I want to see it, even if Brosnan is no longer Bond.

From what I've seen of Daniel Craig, he isn't all that impressive an actor. He seems to have been landing minor roles his entire career. Oh well, can't exactly judge until you've seen the movie, I suppose. Anyway, I'll probably go to see it simply because... it's James Bond.

Well it's about time they created another version of this movie. The book was amazing.

Casino Royale? That's a terrible name for a Bond movie.

Clearly it's not, because it was the first Bond book

This will be the third version. There was a joking spoof thing and a TV movie (I think) on CBS. They were both unofficial Bond movies, but are considered two remditions(sp?) of the book.

True enough, but the name doesn't fit in with ones like "Diamonds Are Forever" and "The World Is Not Enough".

According to FOX News, Daniel Craig's Bond is going to be "more human," making mistakes and goof-ups and all that. And the stunts are going to be more realistic, with no computer animation and what not.
What do you all think about that?

Part of what makes Bond, Bond is there not being many mistakes. Same with the outlandish stunts.

It's pretty tacky to change it now, 40 years later.

I did some reading, this is supposed to take place when Bond first got his "00" status, how a female M can be there then, I dunno....

Yeah, that would be interesting, but where did you find out about his 00 status being this new movie? I mean, it's being changed into modern times, from what I understand, and he got that status during the Cold War...Doesn't make sense.

^ Wikipedia artical on the movie. It don't make sense either, unless the movie does take place in the coldwar, doubtful...

I wanna see it. It's a Bond movie. And I've seen a lot of them. I wanna see how Daniel Craig does as Bond too. Hope it's good.

Watched a news story on this on Fox last night...He actually appears to be good for the role of Bond.
And I'm actually not sure how accurate that Wikipedia article is, LB.

I just saw the teaser for the movie on iTunes. It looks good, but it just doesn't fit. M is definitely a female before he gets his 00 status, and that just isn't right. It's the one thing I most assuridly don't like about this movie.

The more I see it and here about it, the more it sounds like their doing a series reboot. A Batman Begins style of movie, Taking it back to the begining and going from there.

Personally, I think I'm going to like it.

I think that was indeed the idea, Link. Though it was still good, it does mess around with a few things, it's the same M from golden eye, the movies and books say it was a guy that made Bond 007
