in the episode ' tinker tenor doctor sailer ' does anyone remember the first scene where the doctor is singing and Tuvok has a strong reaction ( the pon fog? )
It is probably one of my favourite and funniest scenes in voyager.

Ya...I love that episode...it was so freakin' funny! He is really a good singer too. Loved the..."Paris please find a way, to load a hypospray...I will give you the sign, just aim for his behind..."
"Hormones are raging. Synapsis blazing...It's all so very Illogical..."

He's a hologram why give him a personality he is a medical program he isn't meant to sing, play golf or wonder the ship. You give one hologram a personality and than they will start to rebel against everyone.

Without humor, it would be boring and so dull.

like the show was . But serriously think of it this way you give one hologram freedom and after acouple years holograms that are on the minning moons will sabatoge the machines when we would check it out they kill us and take oure ships. To quote RM regarding gays and lesbians it would be MADNESS. So as much as he is opposed to Gays and lesbians I'm opposed to holograms getting freedom it will lead to the downfall of humanity.

They did a fantastic job with his character. He was just sarcastic enough, but so lovable at the same time. And Robert Picardo was absolutly brilliant in the role

At least Picardo was able to make up for Beltran's short comings.

Again, it wasn't Beltran's fault in his "shortcomings." It was the producers/writers who did not take his character farther. It's not the actor's fault...

I agree with you Voyager2004. It is not Beltran's fault but some people doesn't see it that way. They rather blame the actor instead of the writers and producers. They are the ones that write the scripts.

About what he said about the troops? Yeah I am still mad at Beltran for that but I still like him in a strange way. Don't know why lol.

Why bother trying if they're not going to expand your character?
Of course he was sick of it. He was doing exactly what Denise Crosby didn't like on TNG. She didn't like how she only had a couple of episodes where she did SOMETHING, and then she was back on the bridge. "Yes Captain, No Captain." She wanted to be let go, so they let her go.
They couldn't let Chakotay go b/c he was the First officer. Who would fill his place? Tuvok? Sorry, but that would be a tad boring.
And about what he said about the troops...Until I actually hear a recording of what he said, I'd rather give him the benefit of the doubt. No where have I found any sort of transcript, or recording of what he said. We're all going off of one person's perspective of what they heard. I'd rather give him the benefit of the doubt until I can actually hear it myself. Then I'll make my decision.
I hope no body thinks I'm trying to say they're wrong for what they think of Beltran and what he said about the troops, I respect your opinions. I'm just giving mine.
