PostWed Oct 27, 2004 2:11 pm    Eminen Makes Controversial Song/Video about Bush.

Wow, you thought "American Idiot" and "Getting Away With Murder" were a slam on Bush? Then you have not seen an insult until you see "Mosh" by Eminem.

It can be found here: http://www.gnn.tv/content/eminem_mosh.html

It requires Quicktime to watch, but I suggest watching it.

Interesting. Though I am a rabid Democrat, as anyone who has spoken to me in WN will tell you, I am getting really worn down by all this mud slinging. Regardless of the person doing it.

Its just a song, people need a reason why to complain like they had back in the 90's when Ice T released the song "Cop Killer"

FUNNY! FUNNY? What the hell are you smoking?!!! From what Exalya tells me, it's EVIL! It calls for Bush's assassination, and accuses him of knowing about 9/11 ahead of time! If you find that "funny," then YOU are EVIL!

Tsss.

It's her opinion, she's entitled to it. Don't go around saying she's "evil" just because of her opinion.

And the video is really bad, it's full of lies.

Funny.

YOU CALL THAT FUNNY?!

I don't care WHAT your political alignment is. THAT IS NOT FUNNY. "Bush Knew" on the wall, a SET being taken down behind Bin Laden. No, MAYBE it wasn't literal, but the HECK that's funny. People dressing up in BLACK, going to the WHITEHOUSE? I was surprised they didn't assasinate anyone at the end. Ugh. No, that was NOT amusing. What if someone made a video about partial birth abortions, and had Kerry being the one killing the child? That wouldn't be FUNNY, either, but it's just as well they do.

He kind of did in a way, what with that report he was given in August 2001.

No, she IS evil if she finds THIS funny! That's my opinion.

It is his right to put out an album about whatever he wants to, and it is the publics right to buy it or not and make judgements on it. I agree that eminem is a bad person in my opinion, but that doesn't mean he can't put out music voicing his opinion as well.

Yeah, sure, whatever. Then a man in the US--an islamic terrorist, likely, calling for the death of American civilians is his right to free speech. Sure.

You have got to be kidding me-those of you who say this is "mud-slinging" and "funny"! This is propaganda at its best! It is absolutly digusting. "Come follow me...let me be your voice...have I ever lead you wrong". WTF is that! This is gross and unbelievably disturbing to any person with any conscience at all. I find this to be comparable to nazi propaganda, and no, that is not an exaggeration. Eminem friggin is an evil person.

I just watched the video, and all I can say is something that is not supposed to be said on this site. I can't believe that Eminem of all people would do something like that. He had a lot of republican fans, but I garuntee that after that, his sales drop dramatically. That song was full of lies, but also his opinion. He has no right to state his opinion like that though.

I'm not going to watch it because:
A) I don't like the language
B) I've heard enough already.

However, from what I've heard, I agree with you Janeway. This blows Michael Moore out of the water!

Eminem is not an evil man. He is singing about what he believes in. It is his right to sing about whatever he wants. I guaruntee that this is going to sway the rap-listening people who dont vote, into voting for Kerry. A group that is not often targetted during a political campaign. A smart move by him. And Eminem has always sung about controversial things, this is his first political song though, and will be his first time ever voting in an election, along with Andre 3000, who will also be voting Kerry, voting for the first time.

RM, every song that has been up against Bush, you have said is disgusting and such, and I know that's what you'd say to this one anyways, but watch them or listen to them before you diss them, to get a REAL opinion instead of opinions based on other Republicans who have watched or listened to them. There are only like 3 curse words in the entire song.

I bet you Eminem has just given Kerry more votes.

VALATHOUS! MY GOD, VALATHOUS!
Come on! Just because I'm not seeing this one for myself doesn't mean I have to and can't take other people's opinions and formulate them! I have always disliked Eminem, and no that he is not a very good person. I don't need to see it to know that this is bad, but come on! Singing what he believes in! It's pushing for ASSASSINATION of the President! ASSASSINATION! That is EVIL! It's like me saying, "Valathous better die," and not in the quick friendly-like joking sense.
And I don't GIVE A DAMN--GIVE A DAMN--about the fact that it's anti-Bush or anti-Kerry or is going to give the opposite guy votes, if possible! That is the FURTHEST thing from my mind! What's in my mind is that this man is calling for the assassination of the President, and accusing him of knowing about the most horrific attack EVER on American soil before it happened and doing NOTHING about it! That is EVIL, and that is NO BETTER than Mr. bin Laden in a sense.
Yes, I don't like songs that are anti-Bush or anti-American because I am proud of my President and think that he is a good person and I do NOT think that him or ANY OTHER PRESIDENT OR FIGURE deserves such content, and I am proud of my country! You are just so biased that you are blind to reality and what is right and wrong!

It does not actually call for the death of the president. It has 1 person who is mad at him putting a knife in a picture of him and 1 line says something along the lines of:

"Why dont we strap an AK-47 to Bush and let him fight his own wars and make daddy proud that way!"

There are reports which state that Bin Laden was planning to do something, which the US received before the attacks, and in fact, DID NOTHING.

So because it doesn't actually call for his death, your entire rebutle is null and void. It is good to be proud of your country and proud of your leader, but there is also a right to not like your leader, and every 4 years you can show these by being vocal, and voting against them. Such is a democracy, get used to it.

And I am too biased to see reality? I will change my opinions quite often if I see something that merits swaying me.

^Okay, I'm basically the one who started the assassination thing. Might I just say that did NOT happen in the song, but the angry people in black did not look peaceful, and they stormed the whitehouse. Sent of red warning lights in my head.

Yet even so, it was an unkind video, untrue, and very, very, provocative.

And that's propaganda, but is it not evil? I think it is, and you are misguided to believe in him.

That's all he knew! He didn't know where, when, or how. What could he have done? And that does NOT mean that he "knew" about 9/11. That's FAR FROM THE TRUTH!

Exalya cleared things up, so I see it now, but I agree with her statement.

And I am too biased to see reality? I will change my opinions quite often if I see something that merits swaying me. You on the other hand are like someone who sticks his head out an open door, yells something and then closes it before the person can reply....

Yes to the question. No to the rest! So, when I am passionate about something, or find that someone is making an evil statement and reply passionately to it, it's bad? BAD? I'm yelling at you because you are supporting this devil! I ALWAYS have good reasons for "raising my voice" at people!

Mhhmmm. Propoganda.... How is it propoganda? It's an opinion, saying Bush should be in the war rather than all of the young men and women he is sending.

He still could have stepped up security a bit, even if it didn't change the end result, at least he would have done something to show he cares.

*sigh*

Last time I checked, I was not blind to reality. I am simply picking the side that I support based on what I have seen. Things I have seen.... Such as I have seen this video, unlike the person whos arguments are redundant because he hasn't seen it.

It is propoganda. Claiming he knew about it, staging Bin Laden. THAT is propoganda. And what? All presidents should be in wars? Of course not. Kinda' need a Commander-In-Chief, don't'cha think? I realize it was metaphorical, but Bush has shown every sign that he DOES care.
