Is it just me or does anyone else feel like the forum is dying I get on and I see alot of the forums aren't updated or anything most of the RPG's are out of date and not many people are on. I mean I hardly ever see any of the Admins on anymore I only see afew mods maybe 5 at the most. I love this site but I hate to say it I think we are seeing the end of days. I don't mean this to piss anyone off its just what I been seeing. Hell even RM doesn't seem to debate anymore that much. If you think it is feel free to say so if you don't thats ok just say that you think that also.
PS. I'm not refering to the kids going to school its just the overall feeling I get it seems like the forum back in its day was a nice neighborhood with alot of people now its one of those rundown sections of town everyone avoids. Like I said I didn't mean this to upset anyone so please don't get mad at me.
I voted yes.

I notice it too. I just believe alot of people happen to have gotten busy at the same time. Just because you dont have a life Jeff . But yah, I think (hope) that its just people are busy, and will return when they get the time.

Nah. I think it has slowed down a bit, but there are still enough active users to keep me visiting. Coming on once a day (which I sometimes do, but not today, ) I see most of the forums have new posts in with World News being particularly active. I think you're right about the RPGs, though - very few of them seem to be posted in much.
I don't know what you're trying to get at with this avoided area of town thing... perhaps it just is that a lot of people are busy right now, getting back into their normal routines or even into new ones. I can't see any reason STV would suddenly be classed as a place to stay away from.

I think it's a possibility that we're just going through a slow spot.
Every forum goes through it. Sometimes, people feel that they've said everything they're ever going to say on a particular subject so they don't participate. I guess some people just go through a malaise but then feel refreshed and choose to participate in topics.
I think the forum will thrive until the end of time (give or take a year or two).

Indeed. I also notice my forum is slowing quite a bit. People just arent getting online much. They are doing the life thing, school, work, etc.

Dying? No way!
It might slow down a bit... but all the slowing down bit is like the rain in that story... ah what's it called? You know that guy Noa and his boat... ehm... yeah. (ok that was a joke, I don't think it's dying thou...)

School is the only reason why fewer people are on posting.

Yeah, exactly. School is the reason I haven't been posting much. And the increasing stockpile of homework in my closet! UGH! Can't stand it!

I wouldn't say it's dying just yet, but i'll admit things have slowed down. It's probably just because of school though.

Well, this is a happy topic...so cheerful! I just started college, so that's why I haven't been glued to my computer chair as usual. Figured I'd try to go out and make a few friends. Sorry if my absense has caused any problems.

No, things have slowed down, but dying...No.
However,

The reason for that is NOT because I'm not on--I'm on all the time--but because hardly anyone posts in WN.

I think it's nice to have a managable forum. I've been on many large forums, and I find that the more posts that are made on a day-to-day basis, the less orderly and appealing a site is. I don't think STV is dying. I doubt it will die in the near future. I think that people are just settling down into a more calm, composed, and pleasant mood.

To be honest, I kinda started feeling that it was dying, too. I was hoping it was my imagination. But reading the posts above made me feel better. I think everyone is just taking a little time off from forum life.

Never! I mean if people like me that have been inactive forever keep coming around....then technically it's growing...sort of.

I wouldn't say it was dying. It can't die! It is getting very quiet round here though.

Must be great waking up every morning being unemployed, browsing a website all day and probably living off someone else's money. Then you have great moments every day, like opening up a can of soda or eating a piece of pizza where you can think "Wow, this really is one of the greatest achievements in my life till now, go me!" Of course your daily exercise of walking to the TV, turning on the playstation or grabbing the remote control makes you into such a healthy person, but that's not all, no, you exercise your fingers by playing the playstation, surfing channels, or posting messages on this board, so yes, you do have a life. you truely are a symbol of a healthy and productive life! Some day everybody will say, Jeff we envy you, if only we could be you... you ought to be proud of yourself.
And I don't think the board is dead, just slowing down. All boards do that, but I welcome Jeff as our personal Jesus Christ and saviour.
