Yes, I know, wah wah, polls are not accurate. But there was a big enough spread that I thought I'd post this one.

George W. Bush 51%
John Kerry 41%

Ralph Nader 3%

Polls are now shooting up for Bush upon the good news in Iraq and the War on Terror and how well the economy is--best quarter of economic growth in 20 years--unemployment is low, we are out of the Clinton-Gore recession, and almost everything else in the economy is UP.

But this, and all the other polls that show Bush up, are good news for Bush. Kerry, who is ALREADY defined, is trying to redefine himself, and it's just not working. The American people are seeing the truth, and that's good news for Bush, it's good news for the Republicans, it's good news FOR AMERICA.

Just currious why is Bush so much against stem cell research if it could help alot of people? I remember reading a article about Ragons Widow asking him to lax the rules on stem cell research why is he so afraid of it?

Becuase in order to continue research, they'll need to terminate more fetuses, which is immoral.

You have got to be shi**ing me! I volunteer Jeff for human experimentation, since he seems to feel that lives can be sacrificed to save others.

Give me the money I would than sign up. What I'm trying to get to is if we hide behind morals how many lifes are we going to lose? Whats worst losing one life or 1 million because of a diease that could be eliminated if we did what we had to.

Well now, that's even more stupid. Sure, I'll give you the money, 'cause I can have it right back. YOU'LL BE DEAD! JEEZ,

We have made astronomical progress in the past 100 years w/out having to "experiment" on people. Good Lord.

The Difference between you and me is that I'm willing to pull those stops out if it meant saving a life. You can't just keep tinkering with things and hope they come up with a cure you need to get your hands dirty and if thats the case than so be it. I could sleep sound knowing that I saved a life if it meant taking one. Like it or Not Aids isn't gone nor is all those other dieases we tried to find normal cures but we haven't we need to step up our efforts IMO. I don't want people to get all upset about what I think its just how I feel.

One question. Who the hell are you to decide who lives and dies? Especially when there are alternatives? They can take the blood from the umbilical cord, too, you know. But hey, Jeff wants that baby dead, so, *whack*
Once you open the door... God, you have no sense of morality. That's where psychopaths come from.

[EDIT]

Pffft, why am I wasting my time? Odds are you don't even know what stem cell research is, just heard it on the news.

Who said you are to decide who has the right to give themselfs up or not? If someone said that they had a cure that could save your Grandmother from whatever was wrong with her but the catch is that it costed the life of someone you didn't even know could you honestly say that you would say no? I know the answer to that you would take that cure and run with it because deep down inside you want her to stay alive and who cares about anything else. And as for the Crack of morality I never claimed to have one I'm just a realist.

I was right. You don't even know what it is.

They get the stem cells, 99.9% of the time from babies. When is the last time you heard a baby volunteer for anything? God.
And morality has nothing to do w/ being a "realist".

Hey Jeff, how much did they pay the fetuses? Tonight my husband is coming on to give an adult look on abortion as if an adult was is aborted as if a baby is aborted. He can not wait either.

Of course. How much did they pay the baby? Meaning how much did they pay the baby to die for cold and cruel people wanting to kill innocent babies. What I meant. I will let charlie handle this cause he can clear things up so be looking for him between 6&8 tonight cause when he gives details.

So you're saying it's OK to kill many lives, in order to save a few, or to cure debilitations? I don't think that's fair. And the way Stem Cell research works is that for each patient "cured" another fetus would have to die.

Are you trying to tell me that it's good for a fetus to die, if Christopher Reeves can walk again in exchange?

its actually the other way around Kill one life to save alot but you got the concept I think we need to stop being all moral if we really want to tackle some of the problems out in the world.

Not really, because for each stem cell treatment, you need a new sorurce of stem cells, therefore it will be a 1:1 ratio, coupled with the fact that not all injuries stem cells would treat are fatal, then it comes out less than 1:1 for life saving.

You may as well donate yourself. You are already dead. You refuse to learn, and refuse to grow, so you stagnate. Total waste.
