PostFri Jan 09, 2004 1:46 pm    Review Corner also with Previews, Warning Many Pictures

This is where I will review Video games each week and hopefully you will base what you buy on my reviews. Keep in mind this is just my review Im not being paid by anyone to say what I say everything I say is from Personal experience from playing them. Just keep in mind that this is just my opinions of the games I reviewed and I'm just trying to help. here is a rundown of the rankings of games.

5 out of 5 = This game is Perfect nothing could be found wrong with it even if you looked all day. A Keeper and has infinate Replay Value.

4 out of 5 = A good game has little odds and ends that could be fixed but all around a good playable game.

3 out of 5 = A game that has many problems is best for renting not much in the line of replay value.

2 out of 5 = A game that is so bad you can't even complete it you play it and almost have a heartattack trying to complete it.

1 out of 5 = A game that no one should play has way too many problems and lacks any replay value. Just a all around bad game.

0 out of 5 = Don't touch this game it stinks it isn't even good enough to play some past examples. "Drake of the 99 Dragons" and "Aquaman: The Battle for Alantis." If you touch this game than you may die or go blind. Just don't touch it.

You will notice that I have added more things to the review it's to get more indepth into the game.

I've noticed some people posting their own reviews of games, I would appricate it if you would pm me first with your review so I can check it and add anything if need be.

I'm also going to be doing previews in this topic if you would like me to preview a game or review a game PM me or contact me via Instant Message.

If your currious if its a review or preview that I'm doing I'll post it at the top of each post if it's a preview or review. also if the game is adult orientated (SP) I'll also post in bold for them to read at own risk.

I will also from now on post the source for the prices of games incase if someone wants to buy it. I will also post little notes about the game in the review if there is something I should let you know.

One last thing, a preview may look different from a review. So don't take previews at face value most of the time they are in the begining.

Name: Resident Evil RM (Remake)
Platform: GC
Publisher: Capcom
Developer: Capcom
Genre: Adventure / Suvival Horror
Players: 1
Release Date: 04/30/2002
Rating: M
Score: 5 out of 5

When the Gamecube first came out Nintendo announced they got the license for the Resident Evil series people were wondering what they were going to see. They were shocked to see that the first Resident Evil game for the Gamecube was a total remake of the old Resident Evil for the Playstation back in 1996. In this verson they redid everything from the mansion to the graphics to the characters if you remember the old verson of RE had a small movie with actors who played the characters well in this verson they remove the movie and put in a small cinema with computer generated characters this game is just all around better. The weapons are more artuclited (SP) and there are more monsters and bosses ranging from simple Zombies to the ulimate evil invaunible (SP) Lisa Trevor who is litterly a walking bullet proof monster. If you can beat this game than you can unlock other modes. So because of better graphics a better story line and better characters along with sounds this game derseves nothing less than a perfect 5 out of 5. Untill next time remember to keep on playing those games.

------------------------------------

Name: Terminator: Dawn of Fate
Platform: X-Box & PS2 (The verson that was reviewed was the X-Box verson)
Publisher: Atari
Developer: Paradigm Ent.
Genre: Action / 1st Player Shooter
Players: 1
Release Date: 09/18/2002
Rating: T
Score: 4 out of 5

The Day before Thanksgiving I got a slightly old game it was called The Terminator: Dawn of Fate I will admit that the Terminator games of the past have been far from desireable bad graphics bad controls just bad games well when Terminator: Dawn of Fate was released I was thinking. "God not another Terminator game I don't want to die before I can even get into it." well I bought it expecting the same old crapy games I will admit I WAS WRONG I couldn't stop playing this game it is addicting it blends the best of 3rd Player and 1st Player shooters into one in this game you play as Kyle Reese faitfull solider of John Conor this game takes place just before the events of the first Teminator Movie in this game you will be using a wide selection of weapons everyting from your Plasma Baton to the all powerfull butt kicking Turret Gun. One word of advice master using your Adrenaline because if you do during combat you'll kill your enemies alot quicker without much damage. With a wide selection of levels ranging from simple escort missions to more complex defending bases with turret guns this game has everything a True Fan of Terminator will like. This game Rates a T rating because it does have Violence so if you have a Teen this game is right up his or her alley. My Rating for Terminator: Dawn of Fate a 4 out of 5 it lost points for its odd controling and it could be alittle better in the graphics.

---------------------------------------

Name: Manhunt
Platform: PS2 & X-Box (But the verson that was reviewed was the PS2 Verson
Publisher: Rockstar Games
Developer: Rockstar North
Genre: Action
Players: 1
Release Date: 11/18/2003
Rating: M
Score: 4 out of 5

For Christmas this year I got Manhunt its made by our old friends from Rockstar they are the same ones responsible for creating the very pouplar Grand Theft Auto Series. Now I'll be upfront with all our faithfull users of this forum this game isn't for Children it ranks a strict M rating for one reason EXTREME VIOLENCE within one minute of playing this game you will dispatch someone in a violent way you will use a wide selection of weapons everything from simple Glass shards to more advance Shotguns. The purpose of this game is that your a serrial Killer by the name of James Earl Cash he was "Excuted" at Midnight by Lethal Injection but what the public doesn't know is that he actually didn't die he was saved by a Sadistic Movie creater Starkweather he saved you so you could be in his Snuff (Murder) Film after you do the movie he says your free. The people you will be killing is members of gangs and other groups like most games its easy in the begining and harder as you advance the way you kill a enemy is you will have to target than and get right behind them than dispatch either using the X or Square button on your PS2 Controller just remember this the longer you wait the bloodier the murder will be and more applaude you get from Starkweather. This game isn't just about Killing people its also a Stealth game where you will hide in the shadows to avoid detection from the masses who want to kill you. Once you beat the game like normal with other games you will unlock some goodies this is a game best played in the dark. If you can handle being scared. Remember this game Rates a M rating because of what you do this isn't for little Timmy or Jenny this is a adult game. My Rating for Manhunt a 4 out of 5 it has afew bugs in the game where they could see you in the shadows if you do something wrong. and they could make the controls alittle better.

I like to think Im a fair person when I review games I've been playing games since I was 5 I've played them all good games, bad games, ok games, Shooters, Fighters, Stratagy, flying, sports you name it I've played it. Well I was hit with the cold hand of reality when I purched this game I went to Fred Myers one day and I saw this game I saw the title said Resident Evil I thought "woah man a new RE game" I got to get this well I forked out the $39 dollars to buy it I brought it home and I poped it into my Playstation after playing it for the first 5 minutes the only word that I could get that came to my mind was "Disapointed" I spent 40 dollars on a game for this? what the heck? this is a Resident Evil game they are awesome this just sucks what is this? this isn't my Resident Evil. Well after finishing it I haven't played it at all the only reason I keep it is that Im a Resident Evil fan and my collection wouldn't be complete without it. On the bright side I do have to give Capcom point's for trying to make a game in that style the music was ok but thats all it has going for it. This game has no replay value after you beat it and to top it off they don't have any unlockables if it does than I didn't find them well now that my blood preasure is sky high just thinking about it I have to end this review by giving it a measly little 1 out of 5 it only gets that score because its too messed up to even belieive. Have a good day and keep playing those games.

Every once in awhile I'll review a game of a time gone past here is the first.

Name: Super Dodge Ball
Platform: NES
Publisher: Technos
Developer: Technos
Genre: Sports
Players: 2
Release Date: 1989
Rating: N/A because was made before the ratings board kicked in
Score: 4 out of 5

Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls every childs favorite game back in school has made it to a game yes you hear right Dodge Ball has made it to a video game....well it did over 10 years ago but its on a game back in 1989 Nintendo created a game that got all the hearts of grade school boys and girls pumping yes Dodge Ball. In this spunky little game you could pound your oponet into submission using a ball and some cheapshots to the head or if you were real good you could litterly do a power throw and send them into the attomsphere. I personally liked the football shaped power throw where you could litterly drill them into the wall. Each team would consist of 6 team members you would fight untill each opposing team members power bar was down to 0. You are team USA and you would go around the world facing new foes you will face teams ranging from Easy to litteral Dodge Ball masters the graphics are well done for a game that was on the orignal NES the backdrops are nicely done even by 8 bit graphic standarads you shouldn't take my word for it you should see it for yourself granted this game is hard to find because they no longer make it but if you find it I suggest you buy it you will not be disapointed. This game has two primary modes one is DodgeBall mode and the other is Rugby mode where you will take on 11 other computer players for ball domminance untill your the last man standing and like the Dodgeball mode you will fight in beauitful countries I like the China one the most. This game scores a 4 out of 5 it would have gotten a perfect 5 out of 5 but it can be beat in a afternoon during lunch time I prefer games to last alittle longer but this is a great game none the less and since it has no rating because the rating board didn't come into effect yet this game is good for all members of the family well I hope you like this game review if you have any ideas for games you would like reviewed feel free to contact me. Untill than talk to you next week and keep playing those games.

This review was asked for by Captain Dapet

Name: Grand Theft Auto: Vice City
Platform: PS2 or X-Box
Publisher: Rockstar Games
Developer: Rockstar North
Genre: Action
Players: 1
Release Date: 10-27-2002
Rating: M
Score: 5 out of 5

When you think about games that upset censors the one that does a good job is the Grand Theft Auto series is a series of video games where you follow around Tommy Vercetti as he tries to get to the top of the underworld in the begining your doing missions for your lawyer but as you get further into the game you end up taking over the Drug Kingpins house which is very nice even by my standarads. You will use a wide array of weapons everything from small clubs to the ultra powerfull and not to mention Violent Rocket Launchers you will do every type of mission you can think of everything from stardard Escort Missions to boat races to get to a drug Boat the one thing I love about this game is the Storyline and the people who they got to do the voices They had everyone from Burt Reynolds to Phillip Micheal Thomas I also love the fact this game like the ones before has a radio you can listen to they have a list of A rating songs from everyone from Culter Club to Micheal Jackson this game gets a 5 out of 5 based on its execelent graphics to its storyline.

Name: Startrek: Invasion
Platform: Playstation
Publisher: Activision
Developer: Warthog
Genre: Action / Shooter
Players: 2
Release Date: 06/29/2000
Rating: E
Score: 4 out of 5

Most startrek games thoughout video game history have been ok at best need I remeind you of the startrek next generation game for the SNES??? well Startrek: Invasion blows away all the mistakes from the past Startrek games. In this latest incarnation of startrek you play as a hot shot pilot under the comand of Lt. Cmdr Worf. You will face old enemies Romulans, Cardasians, Borg to the Hurq Specis that raided the Klingon planet many centuries ago. You will be in a small one man fighter codenamed "Valkyrie" you will defend the galaxy from doom. there are different types of missions that range from Escort Missions to all out wars above planets. If you do good you will get comidations from our favorite klingon if you take too long you will get him yelling at you so you will have to do the missions in a time frame. My best advice to you. Do the training missions first if you don't you'll be trying to figure out how to handle your ship when your getting blasted from all sides. This game ranks a 4 out of 5 in my opinion because I feel that there could be alot more to this game why be confined to play small ships why nothing bigger? and the controls could be upsetting when trying to fight a specific enemy. But with its E rating it means that anyone can play this game so I say go for it. Keep on playing those games.

Platform: N64
Publisher: Acclaim
Developer: Acclaim
Genre: Action / 1st Player Shooter
Players: 4
Release Date: 10/31/1999
Rating: M
Score: 1 out of 5

I've played all the Turoks they were all fairly good but for the exception of this game. I can't see any real story in it all you do is go around and kill people the only good side to it is the weapons they has some cool weapons and the second weapon modes they have are awesome functions this game has little replay value and is just really plain boring Im sorry I can't say much about this except don't get this game unless you collect Turok games or you want to inflict pain on yourself by playing it over and over again it gets the lowest score possible. Well enjoy some still pics of it. Remember to keep on playing those games.

Name: The Legend of Zelda: Orcania of Time
Platform: Nintendo 64
Publisher: Nintendo
Developer: Nintendo
Genre: Adventure
Players: 1
Release Date: 10/31/1998
Rating: E
Score: 5 out of 5

Zelda is a game that no one can really say they hate ever since Zelda was released for the NES back in the 80's they have been on a roll and it peaked with Orcania of Time this game has it all puzzles, a good story, a good fighting system and to top it off after you finish all the missions in the present you can get the sword of Time and travel to the future to do a whole new set of missions the only downside I see in this game is that the contest to legally win your horse is almost next to inpossible it took me atleast a dozen times to get that horse than once you get it you can't leave the ranch what is with that? well don't worry you can take her out if you can jump her over the south wall. I also like the idea that when you go into the future its like the world is torn apart and its doomsday. This game gets a 5 out of 5 because of what it has to offer not many games are this thought out and for it I say it gets a 5 out of 5 and if your lucky you can get a gold cartridge like I have one . Well wait till next week for my next review and remember keep on playing those games.

Name: Mortal Kombat
Platform: SNES
Publisher: Acclaim
Developer: Kanomni
Genre: Action
Players: 2
Release Date: 1993
Rating: N/A Game was released just prior to the Ratings Board
Score: 5 out of 5

When you think of the early 90's (90-93) what do you think of? well if you were into Video gaming you would think of two fighting Series. Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat, Mortal Kombat was the first game series to introduce the Gore System granted many games before had fighting but you couldn't pull out the spinal cord of your opponet can you? Nope not at all the first Mortal Kombat game had only 7 unique fighters but they were the core fighters did you need anymore? In my opinion its a no if you had 50 cents to blow in a afternoon you could become a master at a Arcade playing this game many wannabes have come and Many have gone but this is the Standard don't try copying this game or you will fail. This game was also a darker step for the Nintendo company because they have always been associated with Kid Friendly games not the bloodier games that are now very pouplar. Way before GTA way before Max Payne way before Killer Instinct there was Mortal Kombat the end all and be all for Bloody Violent Games. It ranks a perfect 5 for being such a break through game in a land of happy pipe jumping plumber games (Mario) thats why it got a 5 and it has nothing wrong with it for it being a game that was for the SNES I think it did a good Job good Going Mortal Kombat you earned your Score. Untill next time keep playing those games.

Name: Mortal Kombat 2
Platform: SNES
Publisher: Acclaim
Developer: Acclaim
Genre: Action
Players: 2
Release Date: 1994
Rating: M
Score: 5 out of 5

In 1994 Acclaim was riding a wave of pouplarity with their ultra violent cash cow by the name of Mortal Kombat well when the riding is good you continue to produce good games and thats what they did with Mortal Kombat 2. This game picks up right where the first with the exception of some new Characters more fatalites and the introduction of 2 new bosses this is basically just like the first one what I like they did with this game was that they made the backgrounds Crisp after watching it for awhile you could get the feeling that you are right there watching the fight Acclaim the company that made MK (Mortal Kombat) 2 has had a habbit of making their games look so nice and clean compared to other games of the time. When this game came out the Ratings board made sure to slap a healthy M rating on it because of its blood and Gore factor one of the fatalites I loved about this game was where you could uppercut someone off a walk way onto a concreate slab 200 feet under us this game is a awesome sequal and should never be under estimated it gets a 5 out of 5 for those reasons. sorry but I don't have any pics for this game maybe next time. remember to keep on playing those games.

Name: Mortal Kombat 3
Platform: SNES
Publisher: Williams Interactive
Developer: Midway
Genre: Action
Players: 2
Release Date: 1995
Rating: M
Score: 3

In 1995 Acclaim sold the rights to Mortal Kombat to Midway because they felt that their cash cow was losing money and they wanted to step away from the growing anger that the game series raised so Midway made the next game in the SNES Trillogy this edition was least to say sad by all standarads I'm a fan of the good ole ultra violence but I feel this game lost what the first two worked so hard to get lets talk about the good and the bad of the game the good is that the grapics was still up to date they had new characters and new fatalites. Now time for the bad They removed several Core characters and the game AI was almost inpossible to beat I remember tearing my hair out trying to beat the bosses back in the old days you could beat them without inflicting bodily injury upon yourself there were times that I actually just gave up trying to beat it and I turned to my old friend......yes thats right Tetris for the orignal NES. This game gets a M for its blood and Gore like normal and it got a 3 because I feel they let us down with this game it lost its touch and I feel it hasn't really got it back yet. Until Next week remember to keep on playing those games.

Name: Marvel Vs. Capcom 2
Platform: (PS2, DC, ARC) But the verson I'm reviewing is the PS2 verson
Publisher: Capcom
Developer: Capcom
Genre: Action
Players: 2
Release Date: 11/18/2002
Rating: T
Score: 4 out of 5

When Capcoms games I.E. Resident Evil, Street Fighter and Strider started to go down hill in sales capcom needed a way to get back into the game so what was their soultion to the problem? They went to the Bankupt Marvel company with a idea that shook the way that fighting games would be played they created a game that would Cross the Marvel and Capcom universe they made Marvel Vs. Capcom well this is a sequal to that block buster gamein this sequal you have control of over 25 people ranging from Spider man to Wolverine for Marvel and everyone ranging from Ken to Mega Man for Capcom. This game has the same great graphics that made Street Fighter Alpha 3 famous it also has all the special powers that would be normal to see for all the characters Spider Man will use his agility and spider webbing and Mega man will use his arm blaster and varrious gadgets to fight. this game also uses "Attack characters" each player will have only 3 uses of their "Attack character." A attack character is a person who is held in reserve that you could use to unleash a attack on your oppenet say your getting tired of your oppenet keeping you in a corner bashing you beyond belief than use your attack character to throw him back but like I said you only have 3 chances to use him or her. This game gets a 4 out of 5 because even though it looks goregeous I feel it could have had more characters in this game but if it had more than it would have gotten a perfect 5 out of 5. I can't wait to see what games we can look forword to in the future I personaly wouldn't mind seeing a Street Fighter Vs. Mortal Kombat game. Untill next week remember keep on playing those games.

This Review was asked by Captain.Dan

Name: X-Men: Next Dimension
Platform: GC, PS2, X-Box (But verson that was reviewed was the GC Verson)
Publisher: Activision
Developer: Exakt
Genre: Action / Fighting
Players: 1 - 2
Release Date: 10/15/2002
Rating: T
Score: 3 out of 5

In 2002 people were wanting their X-Men fix the second movie wasn't due out for a year yet and people were getting anxious well they got their wish with X-Men: Next Dimension. This game is made in the same fashion that that X-Men: Children of the Atom back in 1998 infact this game has almost the same handling that game does you will play roughly over 20 characters depending on what system you play you will play everyone from our favorite wild one "Wolverine" to the ultra sleek ultra sexy Betsy Bradock aka "Psylocke the rules of this game is just like others where you will fight and pummel them into a bloody pulp this game does have something thats a nice change that Children of the Atom doesn't you will actually hear Patrick Stewart as the famous "Professor X" Talk every now and than. this game also has destructable scenes like Children of the Atom and Street Fighter does. This game ranks a 3 out of 5 because I feel there are better games out on the market in this genere but if your into Marvel and Fighting games than this would be perfect. Until Next week keep on playing those games.

This review will be quick all I have to say is that. 2 years ago Aquaman: The battle for Alantis was the worst game of all time well this game beat that game and is now the standard for crapy games if there was a 0 rating than this game would rank that.......hey wait a minute it can I'm now changing the game to a 0 out of 5. Remember to keep on playing those games.

Name: Resident Evil 0
Platform: Gamecube
Publisher: Capcom
Developer: Flagship
Genre: Adventure / Suvival Horror
Players: 1
Release Date: 11/10/2002
Rating: M
Score: 4 out of 5

When Nintendo got the license for Resident evil they decided to take the games in a new dirrection and they have done a good job with the Resident Evil RM and the soon to be Realesed Resident Evil 4 but they also did a good job with Resident Evil 0. This game was orignally slated for the N64 (Nintendo 64) The head of Nintendo wanted hold the realese of this game till they got their new system out which was the Gamecube well they kept their word they realesed the game as soon as they could and this game kept true to their promise to enhance the games. In this game you will play as 2 people Rebecca Chambers and Billy Cohen you would need the both of them to navigate the puzzles of this game. The storyline of this game is that this game takes place before the first Resident Evil game you will find out how the Toxic G-Virus was released on the poor people of Racoon City you will also face new never before seen foes that range from simple leechs to the more complex and hard to kill Tyrant. When you first start this game you will start as Rebecca Chambers just after the Hollicopter crashes outside Racoon City in the dense forrest that surronds the town you will find a file that is next to some dead Army police officers that talks about Billy Cohen at the begining you think that he killed the officers but as you know him maybe he didn't do it. If your wanting to get into the game series and you haven't played any of the other RE games than this is the one to start with. I gave it a 4 out of 5 because the only problem I found was that this game didn't have that many weapons and unless you master all the modes you don't get any automoatic weapons and I hate that but other than that this game is awesome. Remember to keep on playing those games.

Name: Illusion of Gaia
Platform: Snes

Developer: Nintendo

When I was 14 this game came out all I have to say is that this game got right in one shot what other creators got wrong with all theirs this game had excelent graphics for only being on a 16 bit system it had a A+ storyline. In this game you start off as a boy who goes to school with his friends. I wish I could remember their name but I can't but your character feels that something is wrong with the planet and his teacher tells him that he is right that the planet is nearing the end of its life. Well as a 15 yr old you don't want that to happen main reason why? because you won't be able to see your friends than why else. So after you get your friends support you go and set forth to save the planet you will do everything from riding in one of earths first airplanes to riding kangeroos. One of the best parts of this game is the gems after you collect all 50 gems you get to play a secret level now I'll be honest I got to the level but I never beat it. Your character will take the form of two acient warriors one verson is a knight and the other is a being made of fire who looks like a bird when flying. You'll really only use this verson to take on Dark Gaia your character will end up winning the heart of the princess but their love doesn't last because once the game is over you find out that the planet doesn't really die per say it just changes it goes from the old times to the more modern. I wish they would make a sequal to this game hopefully in time they will. This wasn't rated at the time I can't blame them this game is perfect. I gave it a 5 out of 5 because of the graphics, control, sound, and storyline if you have a SNES and you have a chance to get this game I suggest you get it. it'll be worth it trust me. Untill next time remember to keep on playing those games.

PS. I just found some information on the characters feel free to read.

The characters -
Will aged 15 is the main character . His mother passed away when he was very young and his father was lost in a journey to the Tower of Babel, that was a year before this game begins. Has been living with his grandparents in South Cape.
Kara aged 15? another one of the most important characters. She is the daughter of King Edward, and resides in a castle on the outskirts of South Cape. She is extremely spoilt , along the way she gets on the parties nerves. But Kara along the way becomes less annoying and spoilt and soon becomes 'one of the gang'.
Lilly aged 14 a friend of Will's grandmother, and new his late mother . Lilly is a resident of the invisible Village called Itory and has the weird ability of being able to turn herself into a dandelion!
Lance aged ?? Will's best friend and goes to the same school as Will. His dad was on the journey as Will and his father. Usually hangs out with Will and his friends at their Cave Club house.

Name: Resident Evil 2
Platform: GC, PS, N64, DC (But the Verson that is going to be reviewed is the GC Verson)
Publisher: Capcom
Developer: Capcom
Genre: Adventure / Suvival Horror
Players: 1
Release Date: 01/06/2003
Rating: M
Score: 2 out of 5

Back when Nintendo announced they got the license for the Resident Evil franchise for the next few years everyone was happy and when they Released Resident Evil (RM) and Resident Evil 0 we were happy so we were belieiving the hype that they were doing over the series than....came the date 01/06/2003 when Resident Evil 2 was released everyone was talking I remember my friends saying hey I can't wait for EB (Electronics Botique its a game store where I live) to open up they opened up and my friends got the game. I didn't hear from them so I guess they were happy playing hte game.... BOY WAS I WRONG!!! I got the game poped it into my gamecube and what did I find out? The Resident Evil 2 game that everyone was talking about turned out to be the stale same 5 yr old verson that came out for the Playstation and mutiple other consles including such Relic Systems like the Nintendo 64 and the Dreamcast. I couldn't belieive my eyes Im playing the same verson that came out for those systems over 5 years ago. I felt so riped off I couldn't even stand it. I found out my friends didn't answer the phone because they were happily playing their game they were dead from shock!!! Also to top it off its not the fact that its bacially a rip off of a 5 yr old game but I paid 42 dollars some for something that only cost 39 when it first came out 5 yrs ago. Why am I paying 42 dollars for a 5 Yr old game? granted its on a new system but since its the same graphics engine and storyline they should have only sold the game for 20 dollars as a budget buy. But I must give it some credit the ONLY THING that I liked is that if you start on easy you start off with the Submachine gun with unlimited ammo thats the only good thing that is why I was gracious and gave it a score of 2 out of 5 it also gets a M for the normal Blood and Gore. Before I end this review I have one question for Nintendo why charge more than Playstation did for a 5 yr old game and if you make a promise KEEP IT!!!

Name: Resident Evil 3: Nemesis
Platform: GC, DC, PS (But the Verson thats being reviewed is the GC Verson)
Publisher: Capcom
Developer: Capcom
Genre: Adventure / Suvival Horror
Players: 1
Release Date: 01/15/2003
Rating: M
Score: 1 out of 5

Roughly 4 years ago Capcom released Resident Evil 3: Nemesis for the Playstation this game took the whole Resident Evil Storyline into a whole new dirrection. With new innevations including the ability to dodge enemies with a simple push of a button when timed just right also you could make bullets using gun powder and bullet casings along with a reloading tool plus you were given choices as to what to do during the storyline so we were expecting these same innevations when Nintendo were going to remake the games like they did when they remade Resident Evil and made Resident Evil 0 well what did we get? We got a plain inport of the same verson made 4 years ago back in 1999 for the Playstation no new graphics no new nothing the game is the same as the Playstation verson. I felt so let down because of this and to top it off along with the dreaded Resident Evil 2 Verson for the Gamecube they jacked the price of this game I had to pay 44.99. I felt this was a rip off it should have been a Budget Title along with RE 2 for the Gamecube. I give this game a 1 out of 5 because it has nothing new at all. I didn't think that it would be possible to make a game as bad as the horrible Resident Evil: Suvivor for the Playstation but Nintendo did. This game gets a M rating for Blood and Gore this is all I have to say if you collect resident evil games than collect them but don't play these two that I have reviewed today. Untill next week keep on playing those games.

----------------------------------

Name: Resident Evil Code: Veronica X
Platform: DC, PS2, GC (But the verson being reviewed is the GC Verson)
Publisher: Capcom
Developer: Capcom
Genre: Adventure / Suvival Horror
Players: 1
Release Date: 12/03/2003
Rating: M
Score: 2 out of 5

When capcom first made Resident Evil Code: Veronica back in 2000 the game introduced their new graphics engine and it was awesome the storyline was surpurb. Now Resident Evil Code: Veronica has been transfered to the GC as part of the license that Nintendo has got the game is known though as Resident Evil Code: Veronica X what the X stands for we have no idea I have a few ideas but they aren't good for little kids. In this game you take on the role of Clare Redfield from Resident Evil 2 fame. In this game your captured by Umbrella when you break into their Europe complex looking for her Brother Chris Redfield from Resident Evil Fame after getting captured your put on a island prision that is guess what? thats right its infested with Zombies after a rogue group attacks the island. In this game you'll do everything from simple puzzles to fighting hard monsters. You'll also take the Roles of Steve who is a hormone driven Teen and Her brother Chris later in the game. The story is the same as the ones on the PS2 and DC in my opinion they are trying to make money on a 4 yr old game once again this game was more than both counter parts selling for 49.99 when it should have been a budget title this game has nothing new at all thats why it gets a 2 out of 5 it would have gotten a 1 but because of its engine and the fact it was a good game in the past I gave it a 2. It gets a M for blood and Gore like normal if your a collector than feel free to buy this game but if you just like to play games than this would be fine for a rentle nothing more. Untill next week keep on playing those games.

Name: Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball
Platform: X-Box
Publisher: Tecmo
Developer: Team Ninja
Genre: Sports
Players: 1 - 2
Release Date: 01/22/2003
Rating: M
Score: 3 out of 5

Dead or Alive what comes to your mind when you hear that name? Thats Right Beauitful Voluptous women. Well the creators of this game got that right on the dot with DOA Xtreme Beach Volleyball this game has the women from the earlier DOA games this game wasn't as much a Volleyball game as a poor atempt to apeal to young hormone driven men. This game does have voleyball in it but it isn't the best part and the storyline is pretty poor after the 3rd DOA game a guy comes to power and brings all the women to a island to play volleyball I don't understand either if it was me I would rather want to have some fun with them not watch them play a game. During game play you will earn points to buy things for your partners mainly new outfits nothing really big. There is also a Casino I don't understand either what does a casino have to do with a volleyball game? Well I can't really talk that much about it because I pretty much found this game boring with the exception of the women... You can guess why it got a M rating the only reason why it got a 3 is that it apealed to my male side if it didn't than it would have got only a 2 so until next time remember to keep on playing those games.

I'm Jeff's new co-host, I'm going to be posting some reviews as well. As like Jeff, I'm not paid for my words.

Name: Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles
Platform: Game Cube
Publisher: Square Enix
Developer: Square Enix
Genre: Adventure / RPG
Players: 1-4
Release Date: 02/9/2004
Rating: T
Score: 4 out of 5

I rented this game a couple days ago and after four hours of play I was amazed. Even though some say the graphics are a little childlish this game has a very deep storyline like other Final Fantasy games. This is the first Final Fantasy that has been made for the Nintendo Game Cube. The game starts off as you customizing your very own character, you name it, you choose what race it is out of four, you then choose its apperance, and finally you choose its family triat (ie: Black Smith). All these customizable things decide what your characters powers are, wether its a high attack level human, or a high magic level member of another race they all have thier ways of defeating thier enamy(s) and completing the game. This game has alot of gameplay in it, your not going to beat it in a day or even a week. The only thing that I do not like about this game is one little thing, you must stay inside a large circle that moves with you and if you go out of it you quickly die. This game is also the first Final Fantasy game that is multiplayer, useing Game Boy Advances as controlers you hook them up to your cube VIA a GBA-GC connector and then you move your chacter while looking at the TV and recive privet messages on your GBA (Also instead of useing the tv screen as a viewer for items and stuff you use the GBA). Multiplayer Final Fantasy is the experance that you would never forget. Once I have the money, I'm buying this game. That is all I have to say about this game and untill next time have fun playing your games.

Rating: M
Score: 2 out of 5

What happens when you make a game that everyone likes lets say Grand Theft Auto: Vice city? You get companies who tries to copy that and sell it as their own. Case in point Roadkill from Midway here is a game that is a wannabe GTA so bad but it comes up so short. The storyline is simmular to GTA: VC and the graphics enigen is so simmular to GTA you would think that this game was made by Rockstar games but it wasn't it was made by Midway the only thing that this game has thats new is that you can actually drag poor victems behind your car or on your car but other than that its nothing really new or good to be exact it gets a M rating for its graphic violence and sexual content eventhough that this is the GC verson it still gets a M for being edited. It gets a 2 because its just plain crapy Im sorry thats all I can say Im going to go burn this game now so have a good day.

Name: Activision Classics
Platform: PS
Publisher: Activision
Developer: Activision
Genre: Puzzle / Compilation
Players: 1 - 2
Release Date: 09/30/1998
Rating: E
Score: 3 out of 5

Back in the 90's game playing kids were wanting to play something back from the old day out poped Activision clasics this game has 30 clasic Atari games including Boxing, Dolphin, Chopper Command, Cosmic Commuter, Crackpots, Dolphin, Dragster, Enduro, Fishing Derby, Freeway, Frostbite, Grand Prix, HERO, Ice Hockey, Kaboom!, Keystone Kapers, Laser Blast, Megamania, Pitfall, Plaque Attack, River Raid, River Raid 2, Sea Quest, Skiing, Sky Jinks, Spider Fighter, Stampede, Starmaster, and Tennis. If you like Atari games than you will like this. Its rated E because there is litterly no real forms a violence. This game only gets a 3 out of 5 because I think they should have shown some games from other systems like the Sega and Nintendo systems but if you are yerning for the old days this is a good fix for that need.

Platform: GC
Publisher: Capcom
Developer: Capcom
Genre: Action
Players: 1
Release Date: 10/07/2003
Rating: T
Score: 5 out of 5

One thing that Capcom has a hobby of doing is making Suvival Horror games like Resident Evil, Silent Hill and Dino Crisis and constantly remaking games that star Megaman but when they came out with Viewtiful Joe I will be honest I didn't pay much attention to it. I was wrong it was very good it is done in the style of a comic book in this game your girlfriend gets kidnaped by a super villan you take the mantle of Viewtiful Joe to get her back you will fight everything from Henchmen to Hellicopters you will also be able to do complex fighting moves once your meter gets to the full mark this game gets a 5 out of 5 because I haven't seen a game that has done stuff like this for that reason alone it gets a perfect 5 out of 5. It gets a T because there is violence that is involved in the game but if you have a Teen than this game is perfect for him or her.

Name: Turok: Dinosaur Hunter
Platform: N64, PC (The verson thats being reviewed is the N64 Verson)
Publisher: Acclaim
Developer: Acclaim
Genre: Action / 1st player shooter
Players: 1
Release Date: 02/01/1997
Rating: M
Score: 4 out of 5

When a New video game system comes out they have a small stable of core games most core games are very nice the storyline is good and graphics are awesome for the N64 it was Super Mario 64, Starfox 64, Star Wars: Shadow of the Empire, Duke Nukem 64 and Turok: Dinosaur Hunter. Well when the game in itself says Dinosaur Hunter you better deliver with the title this game is spose to be about hunting dinosaurs but you really don't do anything like that granted you do fight some dinosaurs I can remember about 7 kinds but after that its just mods of those versons. The storyline is that your name is Turok and your from a longline of Indians you are sent to the Lost land where a person controls and enslaves the land heres the catch his name get this its.....The Campigner thats right the name is something that could be defined as a presidintal canidate what couldn't they come up with something more boring? Heres a example for a new name uh how about The Bad Guy? Anyway the game is set up as a 1st player shooter with some awesome graphics keep in mind this is a 64bit system game you wouldn't expect these graphics unless its a computer game. I liked this game mainly for the graphics I feel that this game just lacked in the storyline department but I have to say this game did have some good versons of weapons everything from your standard knife to your more complex particle accelator. This game gets a M because it does show gore and violence it also gets a 4 out of 5 because like I said before the storyline isn't that good but the graphics is what keeps it above a 3. Oh if you want to hear something funny if you have any explosive weapons and you killed a henchman blow him up even though hes dead he'll still scream I think its alittle funny but it may just be me. Until next time remember to keep on playing those games.

No Box Shot sorry

Name: Vegas Dreams
Platform: NES
Publisher: ???
Developer: ???
Genre: Stratgy
Players: 1 - 2
Release Date: 19??
Rating: NR
Score: 4 out of 5

Back in the 80's (Time unknown due to the lack of info I could find on the specs of the game) Nintendo released a game for their first system for the cheapskate family. Vegas dreams brings the experence of vegas to your home without any of the trafic that you would have to go though this game is a betting game like you would think it would be but it does have a unique storyline based on what you do this game would change. One would say that this game invented the what I like to call the "Destiny Storyline" if you do good in this game and make alot of money than odds are you will be the victem of a thief but if you do bad than you will be the reciptiant (SP) of some nice people who will give you money for good luck. there are 5 basic Casino types in this game everything from real expensive casinos ($25,000 lowest bids) to real poor casinos ($1 lowest bid) the object of this game is to not go to 0 if you do than a caption will come up and say that your broke and you'll leave Vegas in poor style. This game wasn't rated because it was created before the ratings board took effect back in 92. It gets a 4 because of what it offers eventhough its mainly a cheapskates game this game did have a awesome storyline. Im sorry I couldn't find any real pics or give you further info about the specs of the game its just that older games are hard to find info on.

Name: Duke Nukem 64
Platform: N64
Publisher: GT Interactive
Developer: Eurocom Ent.
Genre: Action / 1st person shooter
Players: 1 - 4
Release Date: 10/31/1997
Rating: M
Score: 4 out of 5

What do you do when Aliens shoot down your ride? You blow the *beep* out of them thats right you blow the *beep* out of them and you can do that in Duke Nukem 64 this was one of the core games that came out for the N64 back in 1997 you will fight head to head with aliens in 21 mind boggling levels you'll see levels from everything from City streets to the ultra secret area 51 you'll fight everything from Pig cops to Battle Droids. This game is simmular to the ones on the PC but it isn't what I don't like is that they took out all the adult stuff that you would normaly see in Duke Nukem games including Nudity, Strong sexual Content, and extreme violence. What I don't get is that Duke Nukem is mainly a adult game why port it over to a system and take out all the good stuff? its no better than Goldeneye was but I won't complain that much. This game gets a M for the violence that it has. It gets a 4 out of 5 because eventhough it is way tamed from its PC counterparts it still does have good parts.

Name: Resident Evil: Dead Aim
Platform: PS2
Publisher: Capcom
Developer: Capcom
Genre: Action / Suvival Horror / 1st and 3rd player shooter
Players: 1
Release Date: 06/17/2003
Rating: M
Score: 4 out of 5

When you think of 1st player shooter and Resident evil what comes to mind? The dreaded Resident Evil Suvivor game that came out afew years ago when when I got this game I admit I was hessistant to play it but when I played it I was proven wrong this game is 10 times better than Suvivor was and it has a excelent storyline. In it you play Bruce McGivern who is sent t ostop Morpheus D. Duvall who is a former Member of umbrella who stole one of its cruise ships what you don't realize is that before you can stop him he injects himself with the T-Virus which turns him into a Monster that feeds off Electricty. During the game you'll Run into Fongling a Chinese Agent that looks like she was drawn straight from the pages of Anime she was on the Cruise ship when it got stolen. You will find many monsters in this game like all other Resident Evil games everything from Simple stupid zomebies to the ultra hard to target Infected frogs in the later levels the only way you can tell that they are going for you is if you have a flash light it'll reflect off them for a short time. you'll also have 3 main weapons a pistol, shotgun, and Automatic Machine Gun but you'll also pick up other weapons during the game. Unlike RE Suvivor you'll be able to save at different points in the game. This game gets a M for the typical Blood and Gore you would expect in any RE games. It gets a 4 out of 5 partially because they were ablely to make another 1st player shooter and get it right plus the storyline is pretty good.... Than again anything could be better than Resident Evil Suvivor lets just hope if they make another 1st player shooter it'll be as good as this is.
