I thought nearly all the books would make a good movie,
But it's true, the "Homecoming" books would be intriguing to see on a screen.

they would make a gret movie together, and it could incorporate characters from next gen and ds9 and everything, which is what Berman said they would like to do for the next movie

Yea the books would make a good movie.
But I personally would want the end changed a little
To me, the end of the farther shore was a little
disappointing.

I agree with Qgirl, the end was pretty disappointing. When "u-no-ooo" got "u-no-what".... oi, I can only think of what the next books are going to be like.. bleh. I wish they would have done more with Tom and B'Elanna meeting after she gets back...

(funny, I thought I started a thread exactly like this one...)

they should make a VOYAGER movie out of the book called The Final Furie. Or is it Fury i dont remember.
it is the last book of a 4 story epic crossover series.
like Day Of Honour

I think that if they do make a movie, they should make something new, something original...Personally, I think the majority of Trek books are too short and are a little lacking in depth...Oooo I'm gonna get slated for that aren't I

Lol, I am crazy...very much so...

The books are good but 'cos I enjoy reading books, I tend to go for the longer ones...compared to these Trek ones are much shorter and less detailed. Also, I would prefer the Trek novels to contine on from each other (like the DS9 relaunch books do)...otherwise you end up with all these stories but none of them acknowledge them...consequentially again, you end up with lots of little continuity errors...

Again, take the DS9 relaunch...in Avatar, Ro says she hasn't seen Picard in years but in the Dominion War series of books (Books 2 and 4) Picard and Ro are working alongside each other to destroy the Dominion's artificial wormhole...

I think it would be much better if the authors read each others books so that they gain a better appreciation of the characters...

Just little things like that ruin the Trek books for me...well not ruin, thats too strong a word but you know what I mean...

...but as I said I'm crazy...

I agree.
I go with 700-7000
page books though they are usually only about up to 1070 or so.

For as long as Christie Golden put off writing these books (almost over a year), I expected SO much more of them. Then again, leave it to Voyager to pull out the Borg to sell the series as always.

And what the hell was with Libby being a Starfleet Intel agent....kinda unbelievable.

All I can say is....if this is what we can expect from the Voyager relaunch I'll continue to be disappointed.

The Voyager relaunch is a book duology titled Homecoming and The Farther Shore, both written by Christie Golden. They are intended to do, for Voyager, what Avatar 1 and 2 did for DS9.

I got them at Borders book store, but they are available on Amazon.com.

there are too many good books; i think they should definately make atleast one film.

my fave books are;
The captains table (voy)
Mosaic
Marooned
invasion the final fury
and one of the dark matter books(where they are all suffering with the black matter and Chakotay offers to take over for janewayif she is not feeling up to it)

I think, generally speaking, Voyager was more popular than DS9...DS9 is getting many relaunch books published and I'm expecting Voyager to get the same treatment; perhaps even more so...

Speaking of which, I just ordered my copy of The Farther Shore - they say it should arrive on the 11th August...
